'If you know me, I don't claim to be this mother of the year,' Paul, 32, said. 'I have my faults - I also have a right to stick up for myself, give context of my life.'
Paul is mother to eight-year-old daughter, Indy, son Ocean, six, with her ex-husband Tate Paul; and son, Ever, two, with her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, 33.
In a Get Ready With Me clip, Paul applied makeup while updating her followers on her mindset amid the troubled timeframe.
'Last night I studied that "long suffering" trains us to eventually thrive in it and it’s safe to say I’m starting to understand exactly what that means,' she captioned the shot.

Paul said in the clip that if she's learned anything this year as a result of 'false headlines,' it's that 'there's a lot of false information out there and so, therefore, it doesn't affect [her] because it's not true.

As she resumed visitation with son Ever, Paul posted a shot of him on Instagram Stories writing, 'Saturday morning with my boy'
Paul said she feels that different details about the legal proceedings had been 'leaked' around the same time she began her visits with son Ever.

In a July hearing, the custody order between Paul and Mortensen had been revised to grant both longer visitation periods.
Paul's ex-husband Tate earlier this month unsuccessfully sought a temporary restraining order against her, at which time she said she would submit to drug tests to have her visits with her older children unsupervised, saying in Saturday's clip that the results are still processing.
Legal reps for Paul told the Daily Mail last week in a statement that 'it was recently decided that the ongoing custody actions would be best suited for juvenile court, a common step for families engaged in highly contentious, complex custody matters.
'Taylor is not deterred by this transition; she welcomes the added structure and oversight it provides and looks forward to continuing her progress toward normalizing custody and becoming the healthiest version of herself.

The statement continued, 'Taylor remains fully committed to doing whatever is necessary to reach that goal and will not be swayed from it. Taylor appreciates the professionalism of DCFS and its representatives.'
Tate Paul and Dakota Mortensen issued a joint statement to US Weekly through their lawyers Thursday saying that they 'have remained publicly silent throughout these proceedings to avoid having serious private family matters turned into more of a public spectacle than they already have due to the insatiable appetite of others to share private family information online to promote views and publicity.'
They said they were 'deeply concerned that Taylor's statement minimizes the gravity of the action filed by DCFS and her many underlying actions that prompted such.'
In the statement, they said they 'have chosen to not participate in the often misconstrued social media and other online activity surrounding their cases' and 'have remained silent to protect their children, not because they have nothing to say.'
The statement concluded in saying, 'When the time is right, they will tell their story in their own words in the appropriate forum.'
