Fern Britton Celebrates 69 with Daughters Rare Photos

has shared rare snaps with her 'anti-nepo baby ' daughters Grace and Winnie as they celebrated her 69th birthday. 

The former This Morning presenter previously revealed that despite her showbiz contacts, none of her kids wanted to follow in her footsteps.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Fern shared a series of fun-filled snaps with her daughters as they marked her big day.

In one snap, the presenter, who turned 69 on Friday, looked incredible as she posed alongside Winnie, 24, and Grace, 28, for a selfie.

In another snap, she showed herself enjoying Aperol Spritz cocktails with pals and walks in nature.

Alongside the post, she wrote: 'My birthday weekend with friends I am so lucky to have .. oh and my 2 wonderful daughters! xxxx.'

Fern shares Winnie, who was born in August 2001, with former husband and ex This Morning co-star Phil Vickery.

She is also proud mum to twins Harry and Jack, and daughter Grace with her ex husband Clive Jones.

While doors may have opened in the showbiz world, Fern revealed how all four of her children have shunned fame to pursue normal careers. 

They instead have become a builder, teacher and trainee nurse, and one of her sons has gone into the field of psychology. 

Expressing how they had no desire to be , Fern said: 'My elder daughter said to me when she was quite young, "I don't want to be offensive, but your job is really boring, isn't it."' 

In an interview in Hello! she once said: 'My daughter Grace is nursing in an emergency unit. I can’t believe how brilliant she is; I’m so proud of her. 

'I bought her a nurse’s kit when she was five and she didn’t like it – she didn’t want to be a nurse!

'Winnie is amazing. She lives with me and works as a labourer on a building site.'

While Fern's children haven't pursued careers in showbiz, her former This Morning co-presenter Phillip Schofield's daughter has. 

Molly, 33, worked at the London-based talent agency YMU – which represents the likes of , and  – for at least six years.

In 2024, Molly parted company with the agency, which had also represented her father for more than 30 years, following his highly-publicised scandal of his affair with a much younger colleague, which he first denied.

She then acted as her father's publicist. 

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Fern spoke about walking away from her high-profile job without any plans in 2009, amid rumours of a feud with her Phillip Schofield.

The pair co-hosted ITV's This Morning for seven years, from 2002 until 2009, when Fern resigned and was replaced by Holly Willoughby. 

It was claimed at the time of her departure that it was due to the fact she was 'sick of living in Phil's shadow' while he was paid 'three times her salary', before she admitted in a 2013 interview that 'we’re not in touch now'.

She said of her exit: 'I don't really want to go into that. I probably won't ever, but yes, it was a day that turned on a sixpence, and suddenly I thought: "I've got to get out of here".' 

Fern addressed her fallout with Schofield and how he stepped down from This Morning over the affair scandal. 

She said: 'It was very mixed emotions for me, that one. I can't really explain it, because we did have a very good working relationship until we didn't, so it was tricky. I wish him well and I hope it all settles down and he finds some happiness.' 

Fern's children aren't the only ones who have shunned fame to pursue normal jobs. 

Comedian Harry Hill's three daughters, Kitty, 28, Winifred, 27, and Frederica, 21, have all shunned the spotlight and favoured a career like their artist mother.

Kitty is a ceramist, Winifred a painter and Frederica works in the textile industry. 

Meanwhile, Gary Barlow's son Daniel has so far pursued a more studious path and studied medicine at university. 

The Take That singer's daughter Emily, 24, followed her brother into the sciences, studying physiology at university.

Jamie Oliver's daughter, Daisy, 23, is training to be a nurse ,while Gordon Ramsay's daughter, Megan, 28, is a police officer after graduating from university with a psychology degree.
