Despite Prince's support for the film his sister  has criticized the upcoming biopic as 'dishonest' and a 'fantasy,' and has continued to level accusations against the two executors of her late father's estate who are behind the film's production.

Now lawyers for the estate have responded, telling TMZ that Paris' protests are 'without merit.'

Paris' legal battle with John Branca and John McClain reached a peak last year when she accused them of financial mismanagement, lack of transparency and wasting estate resources since Jackson's death in 2009.

She's made no secret of her dislike in the way they've been handling things and she recently spoke out again, per TMZ.

Paris claimed the co-executors used estate money to invest in risky entertainment projects, such as the Michael biopic, which is scheduled for wide release on April 24.

Jackson's middle child — who earlier this month — said it's 'troubling' to her that John Branca and John McClain used estate funds to finance most if not all of the film's $150 million budget, calling it a 'botched production.'

Paris questioned Branca's decision to cast Top Gun: Maverick star Miles Teller as himself in the biopic, saying it's 'unclear how this peculiar and presumably costly casting decision will result in commensurate box office receipts.'

The singer and model pointed out that Branca's lack of experience as a film producer 'may be the root of reports that the estate has had to fund tens of millions of dollars in reshoots after the terms of a well-known settlement agreement prevented the production from using substantial amounts of footage already shot.'

But lawyers for the estate said Paris and her legal team have 'either not been paying attention over the past several years or simply want to object for objections' sake.'

They added that she and her lawyers 'seem far more interested in playing media games by making headline-grabbing, yet false, accusations; raising specific 'concerns' over issues previously addressed and resolved, and staging tabloid press photo ops strutting into hearings with obvious props.'

Prince's sister Paris Jackson called the Michael biopic - which stars her cousin Jaafar Jackson as the pop star - a 'botched production'

They said the executors have lots of producing experience and produced a number of projects that involved Jackson and 'those efforts have been wildly successful,' including the Cirque du Soleil shows and MJ the Musical on Broadway.

The estate's lawyers said Paris' complaints about how they've spent money are unfounded and countered that it would be 'irresponsible not to explore a major motion picture based on Michael Jackson's life,' pointing to the success of the Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

Lawyers for Branca and McClain said Paris and her lawyer even ignored an invitation to meet with them.

'Ms. Jackson and her attorneys are once again abusing the courts and the legal system by making a series of false allegations as part of a media campaign to distract from their legal setbacks and the inherent weakness of their case,' attorney Jonathan Steinsapir told the outlet.

'The executors have been meticulous and conscientious in every decision that they have made.'

Steinsapir said, 'Ms Jackson has already received roughly $65 million in benefits and stands to inherit many hundreds of millions more.

'This is from an estate that was $500 million in debt and facing bankruptcy at the time of Michael's death, but was turned by the executors into a business generating billions in revenue.'
