Although their every move was being examined under the microscope, the reality star was reportedly left 'blindsided' by her ex's next move.
When PK, 58, , Tatiana Kharchylava, in April, Dorit said she found out about it with the rest of the world... a move she claims was made due to their 'acrimonious divorce.'
Speaking exclusively with the Daily Mail, Dorit, 49, spilled, 'It's very new. I learned about this girlfriend when the rest of the world did, even though he and I were communicating. And there was no reason for him, you know, not to tell me.

'But I think sometimes, certain people, when you're in an acrimonious divorce, they enjoy the element of blindsiding or... you know, to be honest with you, I want him to be happy. And if they're both happy, that's wonderful.'
She went on to say that she did not get the chance to meet Tatiana, a London-based creative executive who met PK through his longtime friend Boy George.

'If she's lovely and I expect that she is, I hope, I mean I look forward to meeting her. [I'd] be happy to meet her,' Dorit, who's promoting her new book, Unburdened, added.
PK, who's based in Los Angeles where they're still in the midst of divorce proceedings, is said to spend 'a lot of time abroad,' per his estranged wife.
Dorit and the English businessman, who were married for nine years before they split in May 2024,
When asked if there are certain rules in place for the kids to meet their parents' new partners, Dorit said that she would 'gauge' the introduction based on 'instinct' - but will 'cross that bridge' when she gets there as she hasn't started dating yet.
'I hope that PK would respect the fact that our children are still a bit young and impressionable and vulnerable,' she explained. 'And I think we both have a duty and a responsibility to make sure that we maintain their stability and we're very aware of their emotional mental health, just [so we can] make sure that we can minimize any type of damage.
'So I think if we both have that and focus, then we'll make the right decisions with regards to partners bringing them into the kids' lives.'
In her divorce filing, the Connecticut native requested sole legal and physical custody of their children - whereas, PK responded asking for joint custody. She noted that it has been a 'constant struggle' for them to find their footing with co-parenting.
Dorit explained to the Daily Mail that she wants sole custody because she's 'the primary parent in their lives' and if she needs to sign off on something and PK's not around, then she needs to have those rights as a parent to make those decisions.

PK and Dorit have been married for nine years before they split in May 2024 and share two children together - Jagger, 12, and Phoenix, 10
'That wasn't to keep PK away from the kids,' she insisted. 'On the contrary, I want him to see the kids as much as he'd like.'
In a past episode of RHOBH, Dorit
When co-star Kathy Hilton said that she thought PK was, 'a very good father,' Dorit shocked the table - and fans - by saying that she was 'wrong,' before claiming her ex would 'disappear and be gone for weeks and weeks or months even, without even calling the kids.'
PK, who was absent from the last season, firmly dismissed claims of being a bad parent, calling them 'nonsense' and 'not true. He has also declined to further comment on his children since he does not discuss them publicly.
In the latest court filings from last month, and showed the pair feuding over various issues, including their mortgage payment - their $6 million Los Angeles mansion is reportedly facing foreclosure - ... and about Tatiana apparently getting in the way.
According to the court documents, Dorit texted PK: 'I don’t care that you have your girlfriend here. Haha she knows you have two children and an ex-wife. It’s OK I’m sure she can handle you being an adult and speaking to me even when she’s there. You have to start being able to live an honest life. I thought you were finally ready to?'
PK responded, as seen in the April 1 exchange: 'I have zero issue with speaking to you, zero issue with you knowing about Tatiana. She’s a grown-up, your age, she has grown-up children. She’s a very successful worldly woman who, of course, respects and would like for open, honest relations.'
Dorit told the Daily Mail that it's 'difficult to go through a divorce' and that going through it publicly is 'so hard and it's really challenging.'
Dorit said writing her new memoir, Unburdened, which was released on June 2, has been a 'therapeutic journey'. She told the Daily Mail, 'I'm basking in this moment now'
It's unknown at this time whether the reality star will return to Bravo's RHOBH for season 16. The last season, season 15, aired its final episode on May 7
'It's why I really wanted for PK and I to have a friendship,' she said.
'My hope is that we can both put everything else to the side and make the kids a priority. And I keep telling him, "We don't need to be enemies. There's no reason." And I think if we loved each other very much and we were great friends, I would love to see us back in that place.'
In her book, she talks about the downfall of their marriage and how it was, in part, due to her ex's escalating drinking habits - something she also brought up in season 14 when she called PK a 'full-blown alcoholic.'
'His drinking wasn't what led to the fall out of our marriage. However, it didn't help,' she told the Daily Mail. 'I think in a lot of ways, for me, it exacerbated certain moments, which, you know, "death by a thousand paper cuts," you know, leads to the demise.'
She continued: 'He was sober. But he's no longer... He's open about it.'
Although PK has denied drinking again, he has been adamant that he has been sober since late 2024. He said of his sobriety journey at the time, 'I'm now completely clear.
'My public sharing of my sobriety was about recovery. It was to inspire other people that it doesn't matter how dark it gets, you can recover. You can't do it on your own. You need people,' he said of the process.'
As for Dorit, she said her new memoir has been a 'therapeutic journey' for her, even if she had to relive some traumatic times, such as her - which led to her suffering from PTSD.
'I mean, the title is "Unburdened," and that's how I want to feel, and especially going into this next chapter, and in doing so, I already had a mindset.
'So when I was revisiting challenging moments in my life or what have you, I was taking everything really, and putting it on paper to unburden myself. So it really did feel like a therapeutic journey,' the TV personality shared.
Season 15 of RHOBH wrapped on May 7 with the third and final part of the reunion special. The cast also included Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Sutton Stracke, Bozoma Saint John, Rachel Zoe and Amanda Frances.
Dorit says that if she does come back for season 16, she's looking forward to everybody seeing her journey and 'how things are shifting and changing and there's a lot of great things on the horizon.'
'I'm basking in this moment now,' she remarked. 'I mean, the release of Unburdened is such a wonderful place to be, and it's being so well received, and it's very exciting.'
The Daily Mail has reached out to PK and his attorney for comment.
