Tori Spelling and her estranged second husband Dean McDermott might be ready to put their 17-year marriage behind them in divorce court, but their financial entanglements are far from over as City National Bank is suing the former couple over an outstanding 12-year-old $400K loan.
In legal documents filed on May 20, the ‘Bank to the Stars’ issued a second writ of execution to collect a default judgment of $219,796.66 from the 51-year-old Beverly Hills, 90210 alum and $202,066.10 from the 57-year-old actor-chef – according to Us Weekly.
Much of the amount appears to be interest as Tori and Dean reportedly owed a balance of $188,803.38 back in 2016, before they stopped paying their debt.
Spelling – who had to repay $88,731.25 to American Express after her bank account was seized in 2020 – recently addressed financial woes involving unpaid storage units on her weekly iHeart Radio podcast misSPELLING.
The LA-born nepo-baby’s iHeartRadio producer Amy Sugarman swooped in at the last minute and saved ‘two of the units’ from going up for auction.

When Spelling’s famous producer father Aaron Spelling passed away, at age 83, in 2006 she only received $800K inheritance from his $600M fortune because her mother Candy Spelling (who was the executor) disapproved of her notorious spending habits.
‘She would close a store and drop $50K to $60K,’ the 78-year-old socialite recalled to the New York Times in 2014.
‘I never did anything like that. She just went crazy.’
The Masked Singer Spain contestant and McDermott had been sleeping apart for three years before they legally separated, and he promptly checked himself into rehab for substance abuse following an explosive fight last June.
Tori filed for divorce from the Toronto native on March 29 and they’ve both requested that the other pay spousal support and attorneys fees, and she wants primary physical custody of their five underage children (he filed for joint custody) – according to Page Six.
On June 9, Spelling and Dean will celebrate the sweet 16th birthday of their eldest daughter, Stella Doreen McDermott.

The platinum-blonde influencer and McDermott are both willing to share joint legal custody of Stella as well as their son Liam, 17; daughter Hattie, 12; son Finn, 11; and son Beau, 7.
