The Home and Away star, 48, and his only child, 12, who he shares with ex partner Jessica Marais, were garbed in matching all-black outfits during their outing.
Hiding his face beneath a dark cap and sunglasses, the Dancing with the Stars contestant slipped into a black hoody and sweatpants.
Pulling the legs of his pants up to his knees, the actor accessorised with a pair of crisp white sneakers as daughter Scout rocked a pair of flared tights.
The preteen paired her trendy leggings with a jumper and black sneakers before pulling her dark locks into a bun which she tucked beneath a green cap.
Finishing off her look with a cozy white scarf, Scout had her headphones plugged in during their stroll as she clung to her father’s arm at one point.
There outing comes as James made his debut on Dancing with the Stars on Sunday night with his dance partner Jorja Rae Freeman.
Following his first performance, judge Helen Richey didn’t hesitate to call James a ‘sexy beast’.

The beloved judge, 79, couldn’t resist flirting with the hunky actor, who is dating co-star Ada Nicodemou, after witnessing his sizzling cha-cha with dance partner Jorja.
‘You are a bit of a sexy beast, actually,’ Helen admitted, causing James, who was dressed in a sharp tuxedo with an unbuttoned white shirt, to blush.
Adding to the playful banter, Helen inquired if the soap star had a twin.

‘Oh god, don’t bring him in, that will kill me,’ the long-time judge quipped, sparking laughter from the studio audience and from host Sonia Kruger.
‘I’m not dead yet, Sonia,’ she added.
However, it wasn’t all flirtation and fun as Helen also provided the duo with some constructive feedback, saying: ‘James needs to do more.’
