Kyle Sandilands has revealed his family were forced to flee a playground while on holiday in Mossman when a fight broke out between locals.
The radio shock jock, 53, poked fun at the difference between his getaway to Port Douglas compared to his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s glamorous Europe trip.
While Jackie, 49, jetted off to France for a society wedding at a French castle, Kyle told how he and his family were faced with some much less high-class antics.
During their break from KIIS FM, Kyle – who hails from Queensland – and his wife Tegan Kynaston jetted off to Port Douglas with their baby boy Otto, 23 months.
But things took a turn when they visited their nearest park in Mosman and were forced to flee the area when an expletive-laden fight broke out between two families.
Speaking on the Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday, Kyle explained they were left surprised when they saw groups of people drinking and smoking in the park, despite signs warning against it.
He shared: ‘I get out of my car, we’ve driven to this children’s playground and there’s a sign on the fence saying no smoking, no drinking, no dogs inside the child’s playground, that’s normal.
‘We swung the gate and the locals were in there, they had dogs in there, they had alcohol, they had cigarettes, everywhere was smoking!’

He said the groups had large Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs off the lead in the park and were all arguing in expletive-laden rants, leaving Kyle and his family shocked.
‘They were all fighting with each other. There was one group on the little barbeque area, and one bird was yelling [string of expletives], screaming,’ he shared.
‘Tegan panicked, my wife has never seen anything like this. I said ”babe it’s fine”, her eyes went as big as dinner plates as she was taking the baby out of the car.
‘There was a lot of yelling out and carrying on. I heard one group yell out, and I thought thank God someone has got some sense.
‘I heard one bird yell out ”stop swearing you c***, this is a f**king child’s park”. I thought, someone has got some sense.’
In the tense holiday twist, Kyle said he quickly took a video of their son Otto, 23 months, on the flying fox (pictured) before fleeing the park when two families got involved in a tense row
However, he said another woman then approached the person with a bottle in hand, prompting Kyle and his family to flee the park amid the argument.
‘I thought OK, we’ll get the kid on the flying fox real quick, get a little video, and then raced back to the car and fled the area,’ he shared.
Comparing his holiday to Jackie’s European getaway, Kyle joked he was a ‘peasant’ for most of his trip and certainly wasn’t enjoying luxury speedboat trips like his co-host.
‘The only speedboating I was doing was speedboating the hell out of that park! Two very different holidays,’ he quipped.
Meanwhile, Jackie added of her luxury voyage: ‘I was surrounded by the fanciest of the fancy!’

While Kyle was in Port Douglas, Jackie had a lavish holiday in Europe, sightseeing in London and relaxing in Mykonos, Greece, before jetting to France for a wedding.
She joined Sydney’s socialites at a three-day event as Alexander Porter, whose family owns Australia’s leading condom brand Four Seasons, exchanged vows with partner Chris Ledlin.
Their wedding took place at Château de la Napoule, a restored French castle, located in Mandelieu-la-Napoule – about a 15 minute drive from Cannes.
Jackie stole the show on the couple’s big day, looking ever inch the Hollywood movie star in a $5,500 Mariam Seddiq white strapless bridal gown featuring a puff skirt.
She completed her look with a pair of long black Opera gloves, Valentino shades and a $1,700 Paco Rabanne clutch as she pulled out all the stops for the glitzy day.

As well as the wedding, Jackie also enjoyed a Greek getaway with her best friend Gemma O’Neill where they stayed at the luxury Soho Roc House, which can cost up to $2,000-a-night.
The members-only hotel sits on the beach and boasts a range of five-star amenities, including a fully-stocked minibar with top shelf beverages and Egyptian cotton sheets.
Each room also has a rainforest shower, Nespresso machine and a range of expensive beauty products.
The venue is owned by the prestigious Soho House group, which has a string of A-list members including Kate Moss, Kendall Jenner and Ellie Goulding.
