They were one of Married At First Sight 2027's biggest success stories, leaving the experiment engaged and planning a future together.

But Daily Mail can exclusively

The fan favourites, who defied the curse by staying together long after filming wrapped, have now unfollowed each other on Instagram, with insiders confirming the relationship ended several weeks ago.

According to a source close to the couple, it was Stella who ultimately made the difficult decision to walk away.

'It was ultimately Stella who decided to end things. She'd been wrestling with it for a while and eventually realised they just weren't on the same page about what they wanted out of life,' the insider revealed.

While there was no dramatic blow-up, the source said differences over their future gradually became impossible to ignore.

Married At First Sight's Stella Mickunaite and Filip Gregov have quietly called time on their romance after eight months together

'There wasn't some huge explosive fight. It was more of a slow realisation that they were heading in different directions,' they explained.

The Mail understands finances became one of several issues placing strain on the relationship.

'Money wasn't the only issue, but it definitely became a sticking point. Stella has always been very ambitious and wanted someone who could provide the lifestyle she was looking for,' the insider claimed.

'She wanted a partner who could really support her financially, and she didn't feel Filip was in that position.'

The pair, who were last publicly pictured together in May, had also been spending increasing amounts of time apart in recent months.

'People around them had noticed the distance for a little while. With Filip based in Melbourne for work and Stella spending more time with friends in Sydney, they were living quite separate lives,' the source said.

Those close to the former couple say Filip has been left devastated by the split.

'Filip is absolutely heartbroken. He genuinely thought they had a future together, but he's trying to keep himself busy by throwing himself into work and spending as much time as possible with his family in Melbourne,' the insider said.

Meanwhile, Stella has reportedly been leaning on her fellow MAFS castmates for support as she adjusts to life after the breakup.

'Stella has been leaning heavily on her MAFS family. Rachel and Chris have really rallied around her and have been there to support her through the breakup,' the source added, referring to co-stars Rachel Gilmore and Chris Robinson.

The insider said the pair initially hoped to keep their split out of the spotlight.

'Neither of them wanted to make a big public announcement straight away. They were hoping to deal with it privately before people started asking questions.'

However, eagle-eyed fans soon noticed Stella and Filip had quietly unfollowed each other on social media.

'They've quietly unfollowed each other on Instagram, which was a pretty clear sign to those close to them that it was over,' the insider said.

Despite the heartbreaking end to their relationship, the source insists there is no bad blood between the pair.

'They genuinely cared about each other, but sometimes love isn't enough when long-term goals don't align,' they added.
