Ladies must wear 'a dress or skirt falling just above the knee or longer' and 'shoulder straps that are a minimum width of 1 inch / 2.5cm,' along with 'a hat or headpiece with a solid base of four inches in diameter.'

'Fascinators are not permitted. Novelty hats (i.e. ones which are excessively oversized, or are promoting or marketing any product or brand) are not permitted.'

Strapless, off-the-shoulder and one-shoulder items are also banned in the Royal and Queen Anne Enclosures.

Shorts of any kind are not permitted. But having been included in the dress code since 1971, trouser suits remain a popular choice - although they mustn't be mismatched.

The event's official look book this year was curated by menswear specialist Daniel Fletcher, who has previously designed for the likes of Louis Vuitton, JW Anderson and Victoria Beckham.

The guide outlines the dos and don'ts of dressing for the annual event, and for the first time ever, it's also determined the colour of the year - bright tomato.

Racegoers were joined in the Thursday sunshine by several senior members of the Royal Family, who made their appearance at 2pm for the carriage procession.

It comes after earlier this month it was reported that Maura is set to step into the role of the late Cilla Black to host a reboot of dating show Blind Date

in America, is due to sign with Disney+ for the dating show with filming scheduled for later this year.

After hosting the Love Island Games and Love Island USA: Aftersun, last year she gained an even bigger traction when she made it to the final of US.

So it is no surprise TV bosses are eyeing her up.

'Discussions are at an advanced stage, with the show's producers convinced Maura's the perfect choice for the job.

'Not only did she shoot to fame on a TV dating contest, she is now an internationally famous face which is what a global service like Disney need for one of their shows,' a source told The Sun

They added: 'Maura also has an unquestionable glamour combined with cheeky charm which has echoes of Blind Date's most famous host.'

The Daily Mail contacted Maura's representatives for comment.

Cilla Black hosted Blind Date from its debut in 1985 until the show was axed in 2003 after failing to hit the heights of its 18 million viewers-a-show heyday.

The show was later revived in 2017 on Channel 5 with the late Paul O'Grady as the host, but the reboot only lasted two years.

Last June it was revealed the show would be making a sensational comeback with Claudia Winkleman, Holly Willoughby and Davina McCall all rumoured as hosts.
