Chrissy Teigens Family Photo Ignites Heated Debate

A post from showing her family huddled in front of her late father's casket has sparked debate online, as to whether some things are too personal to share with the world.

Teigen, 40, on Tuesday took to Instagram Stories to share the image with more than 39.5 million followers, a week after .

In the pic, the model/cookbook author was seated on the ground in front of the casket, flanked by her spouse , 47, and a person who appeared to be her daughter Luna, 10.

The wooden casket had flowers atop it, and off to the side was a portrait of her late father on an easel.

In response to a story about the memorial service on People, a number of commenters on discussed various aspects of the somber display.

One user stated, 'This is a private moment. Why did she post this?' while another replied they believed Teigen was seeking attention with the public display of her family's grief.

Another person asked, 'Why is this photographed?' while another said of Teigen, 'She has to make every tragic event in her life a photo op ... it’s the only way to keep herself relevant.'
