Fashion mogul Adam Frisby's fiancé Jamie Corbett has revealed they have been subject to horrific abuse in the wake of the verdicts in the murder of Preston Davey.

On Thursday, former teacher Jamie Varley, 37, was given a whole life order after murdering and sexually abusing 13-month-old baby Preston, who he was in the process of adopting with his husband John McGowan-Fazakerley, 32.

Upon the conclusion of the case, in which McGowan-Fazakerley was sentenced to 25 years for sexual abuse and allowing the death, light has been shone on the failings of social services and the lack of adequate checks on baby Preston.

Jamie and Adam welcomed their six-month-old daughter Leven via in America and are currently crusading against UK laws around surrogacy while also detailing the abuse they have experienced in regards to being same sex parents.

On Thursday, Jamie took to Instagram to tell followers he had been inundated with vile abuse related to the Varley and McGowan-Fazakerley case, with the influencer writing: 'It's absolutely ridiculous to assume that all same sex couples are like this.'

Adam and Jamie have been candid about the heartbreaking abuse they have faced since starting the process of welcoming Leven to the world.

Although Leven is biologically their child, Adam and Jamie are not currently recognised as her legal parents under UK law - leading to their relentless campaigning for changes to Britain's surrogacy laws.

As well as tackling the law, they have revealed how they were branded 'child abusers and sex traffickers' after announcing their pregnancy and now Jamie has shed light on how they have been impacted by McGowan and Fazakerley's sentencing.

In his impassioned post, Jamie wrote: 'I can't even explain to tell you all what is going on in both mine and @fr15by's inboxes today and on videos on the other app...

'It's absolutely wild the messages and level of hate we're getting and I'm talking 1000+ comments/ messages since this morning!...

'The story surrounding baby Preston is absolutely shocking and what happened to him is beyond horrific. Those 2 men deserve to rot in hell!...

'But guys, please come on. It's absolutely ridiculous to assume that all same sex couples are like this. Abuse happens in all kinds of families and relationships and when it does, are these people blowing up every straight person's inbox?...

'I really f**king doubt it. I honestly can't believe some of the things I'm reading. l've actually just had to come out for a walk and leave Adam at home because he's so upset and I need to give my head a wobble before l lose it!'

His heartbreaking post comes after Adam said he would love to give daughter Leven a sibling one day, but admits the realities of surrogacy mean the journey to a second child is far from straightforward.

The former In The Style founder revealed the couple are already discussing expanding their family despite still fighting to become legally recognised as their daughter's parents in the UK.

Adam told The Daily Mail: 'We're already having that conversation. Jamie is very much saying, "Let's do it," whereas I'm saying, "Let's give it a little more time."'

While the couple are enjoying every moment of parenthood, Adam admitted the practicalities of having another child weigh heavily on his mind.

He explained: 'There's a balance between the love we have for Leven and wondering how we'd divide our time with another child, versus how wonderful it would be for her to have a sibling'.

The pair chose to pursue surrogacy in the United States because both parents are legally recognised from birth there, unlike in Britain.

Determined to raise awareness, Adam launched a petition calling for reform and was stunned by the public response. He said: 'We reached 100,000 signatures within 48 hours, which was incredible. I never expected that...

'I thought we might reach 10,000 over the course of a year, but to hit 100,000 so quickly was amazing.'

However, despite the overwhelming support, Adam says meaningful progress has been frustratingly slow.

Most notably, he revealed he personally wrote to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer four weeks ago and is still waiting for a response.

'We've written to government ministers, spoken to our local MPs and continued to push for change,' he said.

The lack of engagement has left him disappointed, particularly given the government's previous acknowledgement that current surrogacy laws are no longer fit for purpose.

Adam said: 'What's even more frustrating is that the government acknowledged years ago that the law isn't fit for purpose, but it still hasn't been changed...

'I genuinely believe one of the reasons is that they don't think it's an issue that will win votes, so it's continually pushed aside.'
