Kyle Sandilands has revealed why he decided to cancel his birthday party at the last minute on Monday.
The radio jock and his family were heading to Japanese restaurant Nobu to celebrate his 53rd birthday.
But he decided to cancel his party at the last minute because he wanted to ‘go back to bed’ even though everyone had arrived.
‘I cancelled it. I just didn’t feel like having a family lunch at Nobu,’ Kyle revealed as he arrived to the KIIS FM studios on Tuesday morning.
He revealed his driver and security team had been ready to escort him to the Crown for lunch when he changed his mind.

‘The driver was ready, security and mum was there. Everyone was dressed up and I decided I’m not celebrating and I was going back to bed,’ he added.
It comes after Kyle’s co-host Jackie O Henderson was left red-faced on Friday after suffering an accidental mishap during her KIIS FM breakfast show.
The radio queen, 49, accidentally flashed her entire team as she placed her legs up on her desk before a producer interjected.
‘Jackie just a request from the entire team. You’re flashing… all of us right now,’ the producer said.
Kyle chimed in: ‘I told you get your feet off the desk. That’s not lady like.’

Referring to the infamous interrogation scene from the 1992 thriller Basic Instinct, Jackie quipped: ‘Did I just Sharon Stone you all?’
‘No I am wearing underpants,’ she clarified before cheekily putting her legs back up on the desk.
‘I’ve covered it now… I think I’m manoeuvring myself away from airing it out up here. It’s very hot down there,’ she joked.
