has recalled her devastating suicide attempts and branded herself a 'survivor' ahead of the release of her new documentary.

The former glamour model's struggles have been well-documented during her three decades in the spotlight, with heartbreaking attempts to take her own life as well as rehab stints for substance abuse problems. 

Speaking to Fabulous about her battles, Katie insisted: 'It's like I'm meant to be here', in her heartbreaking admission of her past behaviour which she recounts in her new documentary Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, which is due for release on Wednesday. 

She said: 'There were horrible moments I had to relive. But I survived. I mean, who f**king survives that? Me. I'm glad I did because now I'm back again.

'I try and hang myself, pass out and I am OK. I am making light of it now, but it wasn't funny at the time. And I've had these car crashes that should have killed me.'

In 2022, Katie revealed that before a stint in The Priory mental health care facility, she had tried to take her own life. 

She said: 'I tried to kill myself before I ended up in the Priory. The only reason I didn't was because of my children. So, if my kids weren't here, I wouldn't be here today.'

Katie shares Princess, 19, and her brother Junior, 21, with ex  Andre and Jett, 12, and Bunny, 11, with ex r. Her eldest child Harvey's father is Dwight Yorke, yet the former footballer has no contact with the 24-year-old. 

She revealed in 2016 that Kieran's well publicised affair with her ex friend Jane Pountney, after Katie discovered them romping on a sunbed on holiday. 

Katie married Kieran in January 2013 and the pair welcomed son Jett in August 2013. 

At the time of the affair, she was pregnant with their second child, daughter Bunny.

Katie admitted that the pain of the scandal had also led to her wanting to pass away, saying: 'I just wanted to end it all. I wanted to commit suicide. I was consumed by those dark thoughts, all of the time...

'I felt so alone. Kieran hadn't bothered to come and find me... I felt desperate. I didn't know what to do. I was put on Valium for a few days to calm me down. I couldn't stop crying, I couldn't handle it...

'If I hadn't been pregnant with Bunny and had my children, I don't think I would be here today - I would have 100 per cent tried to kill myself.'

Her reference to her car crashes includes her incident in September 2021, in which she was arrested for turning over her BMW in a drink driving smash in Horsham.

As a result was banned for a sixth time for two years and given a suspended sentence that December.

Repeat offenders would usually face a minimum of 12 weeks behind bars but her sentence was reduced below the custody threshold after she entered rehab while on holiday in Las Vegas.

Speaking about the incident to The Sun, Price said: 'I could have killed myself. I could have killed someone else. I deserved to be punished, enough was enough.

'Getting in the car was a terrible mistake I'm so sorry for. That was a prime example of me having been triggered and not knowing how to handle it, an example of me spiralling out of control because I needed help.'
