Brendan broke and dislocated his ankle in three places and Katy and Adam said that all he cared about was that he might have ruined his bride's wedding day, which was being held in Taormina the next day.
Katy, 42, and Adam, 48, took to social media to track Brendan down for an update on what happened and were thrilled when the bride, Amy Currie, got in touch with them.
She said that the wedding did in fact go ahead, with him tying the knot while sitting in a wheelchair.
Adam and Katy had first posted a video on social media saying: 'We need your help' after helping the man during the flight.
They said: 'On Tuesday 30th June we flew out with @jet2pics . .on our way to #CataniaAirport we hit the worst turbulence I've ever experienced.
