Brinkley Blasts Trump’s Policies on Instagram

Supermodel and actress Christie Brinkley took aim at President Donald Trump in a series of pointed Instagram Stories.

On Sunday morning, she reposted headlines, videos and her own commentary to criticize his leadership and policy decisions.

In one story, Brinkley shared a graphic highlighting a headline about the rollback of coal plant limits on mercury and other toxins, writing over the image: 'Another day another way to destroy our health! Mercury causes deformities in babies and developmental disorders of the brain!'

She added that mercury exposure also affects adults, citing nervous system disorders and organ damage, before concluding, 'THIS GREED AT OUR EXPENSE MUST STOP.'

Brinkley followed up by reposting a video clip of Trump speaking from the White House, overlaid with a quote attributed to him that read: 'I can do anything I want to do to them. I'm allowed to destroy the country.'

Trump made the statement, earlier this month, during a press conference as he lamented about how the US Supreme Court prevented him for imposing minor tariffs, but did not prevent him from other, more destructive moves.

Beneath the clip, Brinkley added her own caption: 'And I must say he is doing a good job of destroying the country.'

Brinkley has publicly criticized Trump, and those that support him, on several occasions.

Following his 2024 US presidential election win, the former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model voiced her concerns in a lengthy caption on Instagram.

'The fate of our children's future is in our hands. He has promised to undo every environmental protection put in place during the Biden administration on day one,' she began.

'That will make it impossible to keep climate chaos from accelerating,' she added, noting natural disasters and disease 'will all intensify if we don't choose our planet over profits for a handful of greedy corporations.'

'There's no undoing the climate change we are feeling today, but if we work together we can slow it even stop its devastating progression.'

'And we know trickle down economics is a failed concept, so don't think that drill Baby drill is going to make you rich. It's more like sick, like ill baby ill.'

Brinkley then reminded her followers that 'our health is our greatest wealth and we won't survive without a healthy biodiverse environment.'

She later expressed that, 'nature doesn't care if you're Red Blue Black Brown Or White. there are no borders or walls that can protect you from the the various effects of unprecedented events, and "100 Year Storms" that are happening REGULARLY.'

The model stated that, 'We're all in this together. So we better learn to get along and work together. For the sake and well being of our children action is mandated.'

'We're all one family on the same tiny boat known as Mother Earth…and Mom is talking…she's telling us in so many ways she can't take much more. She's given us her all.'

'Let's show her the respect she deserves,' Brinkley encouraged her fans. 'Let's be there for her over the next four years or she won't be able to be there for us…she won't have the resources to take care of all her babies anymore.'

'So my brothers and sisters let's stick together, birds of a feather and give each other and our Mother some love.'
