Presenter is the sixth celebrity announced for Come Dancing 2026 which is set to begin in September. 

Will, 41, is the co-host of 's Big Brother and the Hits Radio Breakfast Show. 

He began his screen career as a presenter on T4, with other TV work including roles on This Morning, Three and Viva and was most recently seen winning Celebrity Mastermind - with the specialist subject of .

The news was announced on Tuesday via @bbcstrictly’s official social channels on Instagram, , and . 

Will said: 'I can’t quite believe it…I’m doing Strictly! What an absolute dream. Albeit a pretty terrifying one. 

'I’ve been lucky to do lots of live telly before, but absolutely nothing like this. And I cannot wait! I have no idea if I can actually dance, but bring on the sequins, bring on the quicksteps, bring on the dance floor! I’m going to try to enjoy every minute of it.'

Will is set to join Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, Delta Goodrem, Chris Appleton and Cach Mercer in the 2026 Strictly Come Dancing line-up.

Strictly faced backlash last week over the signing of Love Island star Cach, who is also a professional dancer.

The influencer and model, 25, was announced as the fifth celebrity to be taking part in this year's series.

And while most fans know him for winning last year's Love Island, others had to turn to to find out why he is famous.

Some fans shared their displeasure due to Cach's dance background, echoing the backlash Strictly stars and both received in previous years.

Cach has earned a legion of social media fans on TikTok for showcasing his Afrobeat, hip hop and street dance moves.

As well as modelling and DJing, Cach puts on dance classes for aspiring dancers. 

Fans fumed: 'Had to google who he was, and the first thing that came up was “professional dancer”!!! wtf @bbcstrictly',  

'He’s a professional dancer', 'Sorry but the inevitable who? Never heard of him',

'Can we get some proper celebrities? Never heard of him', 'extremely unfair on other contestants'.   

The news was officially revealed on Thursday on @bbcstrictly's official social channels via Instagram, , and . 

Yet, fans were quick to notice that Strictly awkwardly tagged the wrong person on Instagram instead of Cach's account.

Cash, 25, also noticed the blunder as he posted a giff of looking confused.

Users pointed out in the comments: 'Don't think that's his account u tagged there babs x'.

Fellow Love Island star Tasha, who starred on the show in 2024, shared her support in the comments, after she was also subjected to backlash for her dancing background.

She wrote: 'Huge good luck!! Take it all in and enjoy it, it’s the best feeling and experience ever!'

Cach won Love Island in 2025 alongside his ex-girlfriend Toni Laites before splitting seven months later.
