BTS is a South Korean boy band formed by Big Hit Entertainment, consisting of members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Debuting in 2013, the group became a defining force in the globalization of K-pop, achieving numerous Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles including 'Dynamite' and 'Butter'. Known for socially conscious lyricism alongside polished choreography and production, BTS has addressed the United Nations General Assembly and became the first K-pop act nominated for a Grammy Award. Their devoted global fanbase, known as ARMY, has helped drive record-breaking album and merchandise sales worldwide.
