Farmer Alex Shines at Yandina Markets Ahead Reunion

It has been a whirlwind journey for Farmer Alex Thompson-Welch, and it seems the popular star is keeping his spirits high ahead of the upcoming reunion special.

The 28-year-old cattle and mushroom farmer was seen enjoying a sunny morning out among the crowds at the bustling Yandina Markets on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday, looking completely at ease.

He looked smart in a green work shirt and black trousers as he went about his day, with the Kin Kin local beaming as he took a break from farm life to browse local stalls and chat with friendly onlookers.

Alex completed the practical market-day look with dark footwear, looking every bit the hardworking farmer taking a well-deserved break.

He was all smiles as he browsed the local stalls and purchased some steaks, looking remarkably relaxed and carefree.

In one sweet moment, he could be seen resting his chin thoughtfully on his hand while flashing a broad, trademark grin as he chatted animatedly with a companion.

Whether he was sharing a lighthearted laugh or taking in the vibrant atmosphere, the fan favourite looked to be having a great time as he strolled the local market.

The low-key public appearance comes hot on the heels of the dramatic FWAW finale earlier this month,

The pair had previously butted heads over Eddy's dedication to Catholicism after she asked Alex and the other ladies to say grace before dinner. 

Alex, who is agnostic and doesn't want his future children raised in a religion, struggled with his decision to pursue a future with Eddy, who admitted that she wants a religious home.

However, love won out in the end, with Alex telling Eddy that he had fallen for her before the pair walked away from the show to build a future together.  

'I've never felt this way about anyone before,' Alex told Eddy in emotional scenes.

He praised Eddy's 'wit and radiance' before confessing, 'I've fallen in love with you Eddy, fully.'

Eddy stopped short of returning the sentiment, admitting she was cautious with her feelings after negative experiences in past relationships.
