Tyson, 30, appeared in the latest episode of the Dangerous Ideas With Deano podcast, helmed by MAFS alum and .
In the wide-ranging interview, Tyson admitted to having to steal food to survive.
'We lived in a multimillion-dollar house – I was a rich kid growing up,' Tyson said.
'You don't know what you've got until it's gone.'

Tyson revealed that, prior to joining the military, he was working a 'dead end' job as a security guard, living paycheque to paycheque.
Despite having the support of his father, with whom he and his sister lived after their parent's divorce, Tyson said that times were very tough, particularly after being expelled from school for fighting.
'I didn't know what I was doing with my life,' he said.

'I got kicked out of school... it got bad I even had to go to Woolies and sometimes steal food, because I couldn't afford to live.'
Despite previously admitting to being raised in privilege, Tyson said his family's fortunes changed dramatically after his parent's divorce.
'I was living with my dad but, after the divorce, he lost almost everything,' he said.
'We were living in this real s***ty place in Southport – he was going through a real tough time, but he was always there to support us.'
Shocked by the admission, Dean responded with: 'You went from a rich kid living in a mansion to having to steal s*** from Woolies to survive?'

While not going into too much detail, Tyson confirmed the claim, saying that it was something that 'had to be done.'
'This was a long time ago but it had to be done,' he said.
