He’s now one of Britain’s most recognisable TV funnymen — but in this adorable throwback picture, the cheeky tot is seen flashing a beam.
He certainly looked worlds away from the sharp-suited host we know today, although the radiant grin might make it look more familiar.
Apart from hosting some of the most famous shows and realities on our screens, he started off his career as an actor, appearing in series such as Skins and Casualty.
Fast forward a few decades, and he’s sharing the spotlight with A-list stars, fronting prime-time ITV hit The Masked Singer.

The comedian, 40, delighted fans by sharing the nostalgic childhood photo, long before he found fame on the stand-up circuit and became a household name.
In the Instagram picture, shared on his Stories, he was snapped alongside his brother Ben, to whom he wished a fond happy birthday.

And while his style may have had a serious upgrade, that trademark grin hasn’t changed one bit.
The ITV presenters have teamed up for podcast The Business Men, while also launching a male skincare brand, Joel And Ben For Skin.
Although going through with the forfeit, Joel made his displeasure about the situation very clear.

As the bar was placed through his nipple, he said: 'I absolutely hate it.'
By contrast, Ben seemed to find it all highly amusing as the This Morning star joked: 'Look, we made a little baby bar.'
Following this, Ben, 51, asked his pal: 'How does that feel?'
To which Joel responded: 'I feel we’d better have a f***ing successful skincare brand.'
For their bet, the TV favourites attempted to generate the UK's largest male skincare survey.
Those who participated were able to vote for either to get their nipple pierced - with Ben saved by just 2% of votes.
It comes as Ben left viewers, judges and Joel in disbelief after being unveiled as Conkers on The Masked Singer last week.
He made it all the way to the final two, placing behind Moth, aka Sugababes star Keisha Buchanan.
