Brooklyn Beckham has unfollowed his father's best friend Gordon Ramsay on Instagram after the chef called for him to 'remember where he came from' amid his feud with his parents.

In an interview published on Friday night, Ramsay spoke out against Brooklyn, who he has known since he was a toddler, in which he told how he believes it is 'infatuation' with wife Nicola Peltz which has led to his very public decision to cut ties with his mum and dad, David and Victoria Beckham.

Brooklyn was following Gordon on Friday night as the interview was printed. However, on Saturday he was not.

However, Gordon is still able to follow Brooklyn, meaning he is yet to make the ultimate influencer snub of blocking him – like he has own his own parents.

Friends of the Ramsays suspect that Brooklyn – and Nicola – are furious at outspoken Gordon discussing the rift in a way that negatively impacts them.

'Talk about being thin-skinned,' said a friend of the families.

'Brooklyn and Nicola clearly don't want any criticism at all, they just don't want to hear any negativity about themselves. They must hate being talked about unless it's gushing.

'Maybe they don't like the truth.'

Gordon, 59, whose son Jack was Brooklyn's closest childhood friend told how he thought that the 'penny will soon drop' for the Brooklyn who he said maintains a strong bond, and insists both David and Victoria have been outstanding parents to Brooklyn and his three siblings.

'He's desperate to forge his own way, and I respect that from him. It's such a good thing to do,' he said.

'But remember where you came from. And honestly, one day you're not going to have your mum and dad, and you need to understand that. That penny will drop.'

Gordon also confessed that he and Brooklyn, 26, have been touch, adding: 'Brooklyn and I have messaged a little bit, our relationship is solid. I love him – his heart is incredible,' he told The Sun.

But it's hard, isn't it, when you're infatuated? Love is blind. It's easy to get up on that rollercoaster, and get carried away. But it will come back.

'I've seen first-hand just how good parents they are. David as a dad is just incredible. They've both put so much energy into their kids, and I know just how many times they've got Brooklyn out of the s***.

'I think it's going to be a matter of time before Brooklyn takes a good look at himself and understands just what his parents mean to him.'

In another sign that Gordon is siding with David, 50, and Victoria, 51, Gordon refuted Brooklyn's accusation in his six-page bombshell statement which he posted last month, that former Posh Spice was responsible for publicly embarrassing him and leaving his wife in floods of tears by forcing her out of a pre-arranged wedding dance at their wedding reception in April 2022 at Nicola's parents' £75million Florida mansion.

'We were there at the wedding,' he recalled. 'There was nothing salacious. There was nothing inappropriate. Everyone was having fun, having a dance.'

In December Brooklyn's brother Cruz claimed he had blocked the entire family on social media following reports they had unfollowed him.

He said: 'My mum and dad would never unfollow their son... Let's get the facts right. They woke up blocked... as did I.'

But Brooklyn hit back in his statement and said he had been the victim of 'endless' attacks from his parents and it was them who launched the social media war.

He penned: 'Even my brothers were sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last summer.'
