Sabrina Carpenter Stuns in Dior, Joins Stevie Nicks!

Sabrina Carpenter wowed in a Dior gown made of Audrey Hepburn film reels as she hit the red carpet at the Met Gala on Monday night. 

The  Award-winning singer, 26, looked sensational as she posed for photos at fashion's biggest night and channelled old Hollywood glam in a custom Dior slit tulle dress by Jonathan Anderson. 

The halterneck black number featured a full-body wrap of rhinestone film strips and boasted a daring hip high split. 

Styling her blonde locks in a curled do, Sabrina wore an eye catching dazzling head piece and matching drop earrings.  

This year marks a special occasion for the singer as she attended as part of the host committee alongside other megastars, including Teyana Taylor, , Lisa, Misty Copeland, and many more.

Later in the evening, she took to the stage to perform in a colourful Marilyn Monroe themed number which boasted a dazzling strappy halterneck. 

The Versace Tribute dress from spring 2018, iterating Andy Warhol’s silkscreen prints of Marilyn Monroe and James Dean (which first appeared in Versace’s 1991 Pop Art collection, designed by Gianni Versace). 

After dinner was served in the Temple of Dendur, the A-list Met attendees got a short-and-sweet gig by the Disney alum, who was backed by a five-piece orchestra and four dancers. 

Styling her blonde tresses in voluminous curls, Sabrina stunned as she sang her hits Espresso, Please, Please, Please and House Tour to the star-studded audience. 

She later slipped into a glamorous gold tasselled minidress by Bob Mackie which boasted a fringe skirt as she joined on stage to perform ’s 1975 hit Landslide. 

Stevie, 77, closed out the night with four songs Gypsy, Edge of Seventeen and also sang Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow with Sabrina.

The American singer looked amazing in a glittering black vintage Morgane LeFay dress and Margi Kent jacket.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit, also known as the , falls on the first Monday in May every year.

The theme of this year's event - widely considered the  of celebrity red carpets - is 'Costume Art', while the dress code is 'Fashion Is Art.' 

The dress code calls on the A-list attendees to explore how designers use the human body as a blank canvas.
