shared a rare snap of himself posing with his third wife Alejandra Gere and their two sons enjoying the Statue of Liberty during a boat tour in honor of the Fourth of July holiday.

When The Agency star turns 77 next month he'll officially be 34 years older than the Galician publicist he wed eight years ago.

The May-December duo also celebrated Independence Day with their sons Alexander, seven, and James, six, by having a picnic on a beach.

Gere and his ladylove (born Alejandra María Silva García-Baquero) then captured lots of footage of the boys watching the fireworks display.

'Deeply grateful for a life built between two countries, two cultures, and so many people we love,' Alejandra captioned their joint Instagram slideshow.

'Today, we celebrate connection, family, friendship, and everything that reminds us that home is not only a place, but the people we carry in our hearts. Happy Fourth of July to our family and friends across the United States.'

Earlier on Saturday, the Gere Foundation co-chairs took a nature walk together.

'To me, the best weekends don't need big plans,' Alejandra wrote.

'Just quality time, nature, unhurried conversations… and the joy of reaching the end of the path with the person I love most. Because in the end, the real destination is always the people we love. Wait until the end… you'll see.'

The Philly native joked he 'can retire' now that he's 'passed the torch' to the 26-year-old nepo baby, who just wrapped a role in Oliver Stone's drama White Lies.

'He's really good. He really kind of preternaturally knows what he's doing,' Gere told People on June 9 of Homer.

'But he's also handling it really well. He's a good kid. He's a really good young man who kind of gets it, and this is not an easy job. Not everyone can function within it. So I think he can stay.'
