Ominous Sign Foreshadows Kyle and Jackie O Collapse

An ominous omen, foretelling the demise of the Kyle & Jackie O Show, has resurfaced.

The popular KIIS FM show was axed last month following a major on-air clash between hosts , 54, and , 51, in February, which effectively ended their 22-year partnership.

And in a resurfaced clip, shared to Instagram just over six months before the now-infamous fracas, it appears that the universe may have been giving Henderson some clues.

The clip showed Henderson and her best friend and manager Gemma O'Neill discussing Henderson finding a dead rat on her terrace.

Clearly shocked by the dead rodent, Henderson can be seen putting plastic bags on her hands in an effort to pick up the deceased rat.

However, it wasn't the rat itself, but rather what it symbolised that was the harbinger of future troubles.

O'Neill took to her phone to ask Google the metaphorical significance of seeing a dead rat. 

'In classic best friends style I said: "Wait. We've got to find out what it means. There's got to be some type of omen..." We believe nothing happens for no reason,' she said.

Reading from her phone, O'Neill explained that it could symbolise the dawn of a new era.   

'The end of something like a toxic influence or relationship that has been gnawing away at you in your mind,' she said and Henderson, with her interest piqued, replied: 'Stop it.'

O'Neill continued: 'It is a sign of renewal – it's almost like a rebirth. 

'It's like you're letting go of an old cycle so you can let the fresh one begin.'     

It comes as ARN is reeling from a devastating financial and legal double-hit, with its market value now as former radio powerhouses Sandilands and Henderson both prepare to take on the network in court. 

At one point last week, ARN's value dipped even lower, briefly hitting around $98.5 million.

The lawsuits themselves are nothing short of explosive. 

Sandilands is already pursuing a claim believed to be worth up to $85 million, while Henderson has now launched her own legal action alleging adverse action and breach of contract.

She is seeking compensation of at least $82.25 million, as well as a pecuniary penalty plus interest and costs.

If both claims land anywhere near their reported figures, ARN could be staring down liabilities exceeding $160 million – well above its current market capitalisation.

Sandilands filed his lawsuit against ARN in the Federal Court on March 23.

Backed by a prominent legal team, the 54-year-old claims that ARN deliberately conspired to sabotage his $100 million, 10-year contract in a calculated attempt to exit the costly agreement after just over 14 months.

ARN also disputes the claims and will defend them.

Henderson, meanwhile, filed her own lawsuit last week, and alleges the termination of her contract was a breach of the Fair Work Act.
