Alison Arngrim looked unrecognizable as she returned to the Little House on the Prairie franchise for the new  reboot - 43 years after the original series ended.

The actress, 64, famously played the role of Nellie Oleson over 104 episodes of eight seasons that ran from 1974–1982.

However, she returned as a new character for the long-awaited revival, which premiered on the streaming platform on Thursday.

Arngrim stars as 'crazy lady' Ida, who encounters the Ingalls girls during their search for John Edwards, in episode two.

Instead of Nellie's blonde ringlets and pastel bonnets, Arngrim's Ida has a much more disheveled appearance, with rotting teeth and visible dirt on her face.

Ida is among a group of frontier women who claim to know where Edwards is, and tell the girls that he is coming back soon.
