The couple broke two years of silence on Wednesday to mock Baldoni's lengthy legal battle with Lively, publishing an Instagram video that cast the Gossip Girl actress' supposed 'fight for women' as an 'injustice.'
Their update came after from Baldoni to cover the legal fees she incurred while battling his $400 million defamation lawsuit.
As the clip went viral, Rodriguez, 41, leapt into the comments section to express her regard for the Baldonis, writing: 'love you friends. Por vida.'
Their link goes back to Rodriguez's star-making show Jane the Virgin, in which she played the title role of a woman who gets mistakenly artificially inseminated and Baldoni featured as the married man whose sperm is implicated in the fiasco.
Rodriguez, like Lively and Baldoni, has seen the public turn on her during a scandal, having been heaped with opprobrium in 2019 after she posted a video that showed her using the word 'n****r' while singing along to the Fugees single Ready or Not.
The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Lively, Baldoni and Rodriguez for comment.

Jane the Virgin ran five seasons from 2014 until 2019 and saw the Rodriguez and Baldoni characters ultimately become love interests.
Baldoni began his new video about Lively by chuckling: 'We haven't done this in awhile,' as his wife expressed her agreement.

The 42-year-old actor and his wife Emily appeared in an Instagram video on Wednesday in which they appeared to bash the 38-year-old actress, calling her 'fight for women' and 'injustice' that Baldoni had been subjected to; seen February 11 in NYC
'And we're not gonna say it all,' Justin added.
Baldoni said he and his wife hadn't spoken publicly for 'the better part of the last two years' because 'it just felt like every time we went to make a video like this where we wanted to speak, something was telling us not to. It just didn't feel like the right time'
The couple expressed their 'immense gratitude' for the people around them and the blessings they had received, but Emily added they didn't 'negate the injustice and the pain that we have also felt in the last few years'
She appeared to allude to her husband's bruising legal battle with Lively, adding, 'We've had to wrestle with so many things and try to understand things like how could something like this even happen. Let alone disguise as a fight for women [sic]'; Lively is pictured May 19 in NYC
'And the truth is – reality is, is that there's been a lot of trauma for us to move through as a family,' Emily said, while Justin added, 'We don't even know this is the right thing to say, but we just know we need to share something'

Justin explained that his faith in justice had led him and his wife to hold their tongues amid his legal battle with Lively.

Emily then looked into the cameras to declare, 'The truth, and the facts, have spoken for themselves.'
She turned to look affectionately at her husband before adding, 'And here we are.'
The Jane The Virgin star lightened up the video after suggesting that people stop him on the street to inquire about how he and his family are doing.

In October 2025, a judge dismissed Baldoni’s case, and in May of this year, after a judge dismissed most of Lively’s claims, she agreed to settle the case.
Lively was not paid any money in the settlement, but Judge Lewis Liman, who presided over the case at a New York court, did allow her to seek legal fees solely related to Baldoni’s failed case against her.

When the movie was released in the summer of 2024, it was overshadowed by rumors of a feud on set between Baldoni and Lively.
Among Lively’s claims was that Baldoni ‘fat-. He denied the allegation and claimed it was because he was worried about hurting his back during a scene where he lifted her up.
Lively also alleged that Baldoni inserted unscripted kisses into a scene in which they were dancing together, and that his producer, Jamey Heath, walked into her trailer when she was breastfeeding her newborn baby.
Baldoni strongly denied her claims.
