The pink-and-yellow spotted British television character, who first appeared in 1992 on the BBC One Saturday night variety show Noel's House Party, made an appearance on the show as the costume is up for auction.
However, the segment soon descended into disarray as a bumbling Mr Blobby fell over and dragged Kate down too.

'Does anyone find Mr Blobby funny? He is the most annoying thing ever', to which another viewer joked: 'To be fair, slightly less annoying than Richard Madeley'.
One of the original, screen-used Mr Blobby costumes is scheduled to be sold at auction on Monday at the Auctioneum Bristol auction house, with an expected sale price of £3,000 to £5,000.

It is one of the first three original outfits ever made for the 1990s BBC variety show Noel's House Party.
Auctioneer Andy Stowe told the BBC: 'This is the very costume that brought Blobby-mania to millions of people. If you ever saw footage of Mr Blobby wreaking havoc outside the studio, it was in this very costume.
'During its lifetime it performed many stunts including running along Charmouth beach, and even dangling from a helicopter.
'It's not just a costume, it's a piece of pure British comedy history. An absolute once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a piece of pure 90s nostalgia.'

Back in 2023, an original 1990s Mr Blobby costume was listed for £39 on eBay.
Driven by a massive wave of social media hype, the bidding escalated rapidly through 178 bids, officially ending at a jaw-dropping £62,101.
However, just one hour after the auction ended, the winning bidder backed out of the purchase.
