'Although there are currently no plans for a second season of Building The Band, bosses at Netflix are really proud of what they achieved,' an insider has revealed.
'That's because the show led to the creation of four amazing groups and all of them have since signed record deals.'
The source added: 'The finalist groups – 3quency, SZN4, Soulidified and Midnight Til Morning – have all released original music, toured internationally – and attract hundreds of thousands of listeners each month.

'And Midnight Til Morning are performing at BST Hyde Park at the end of this month,' they added to The Sun.
The TV competition challenged 50 singers to form new groups without initially seeing one another, relying instead on vocal chemistry before progressing through a series of performances.
The winning act received a global platform through Netflix, while several contestants have since secured recording contracts following the show's release.

Filmed in Manchester months before his death, Building the Band saw the former One Direction star serve as a mentor alongside Nicole Scherzinger and Kelly Rowland, while AJ McLean hosted the contest.
Netflix delayed the programme's release until it had received the approval of Liam's family before dedicating the series to him.
Liam's dad Geoff and wife Karen gave the green light for Netflix to air the reality series, because they felt 'this is how we want everyone to .'
Liam's friend and fellow judge said at the time: 'Liam meant and means so much to all of us, and we were very obviously sensitive to the whole process.'

'We ultimately left it into his family's hands and wanted to respect how they felt about everything and how to move forward. And his parents were there during the filming.'

'They were amazing. It was so wonderful. They were actually kind of sat right next to us through the whole process, and they've been with Liam and with us through this entire process.'
'So to know that we had their blessing, to know that they were so proud of him on the show, they were like, 'oh, yes, this is how we want everyone to remember Liam'.

The Daily Mail revealed this week that Liam's eight-year-old son Bear will inherit all of his £21million fortune.
The entire estate left by the star after his death in a fall from a third-floor hotel balcony two years ago will pass to his only child, it emerged today.
Newly released probate documents lodged with the High Court detail how the troubled pop star’s estate can be used immediately to ‘benefit’ Bear Grey Payne, whose mother is singer .
The new documents also revalue the size of Liam’s estate and discloses that it is worth a net figure of just over £21million, around £2.3million less than its given value on May 1 last year.

The decrease could be due to a reduction in the value of the singer’s assets or even a payout to his last girlfriend , although sources had previously indicated the US cocktail bar waitress would not be claiming any of his money.
Liam, 31, did not leave a will when he fell to his death at the Casa Sur Hotel in the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires on October 16, 2024.
As he died intestate and was not married or in a civil partnership his only son was always due to inherit everything when he became 18 under UK probate rules.Cheryl and music industry lawyer Richard Bray were named as administrators of Liam's estate in a grant of probate issued by the probate registry in Newcastle on May 1, 2025.
