They are the 'It' couple of the tennis world. But amid weeks of speculation that tennis champion Taylor Fritz, 28, and his influencer girlfriend Morgan Riddle, 28, had called it quits, a source has now confirmed their relationship status to the Daily Mail.

'Morgan Riddle and her boyfriend broke up and she moved to . It's been at least a couple of months now that she's been there. The split has been kept really quiet,' the source exclusively shared.

The breakup news may come as a shock to fans who had fallen in love with the couple over the last six years of their relationship.

However, it would seem their conflicting work schedules and Riddle's rising star power as a social media influencer and aspiring fashion icon may have played a role in their recent split.

'They split a few months ago, [but there is] no resentment from Morgan because tennis made her career. Taylor is not the type of guy to run around. Her career started taking off and she didn't want to be known as the tennis girl, even though that's what made her career,' the source continued.

Perhaps there has been so much speculation about the status of Riddle and Fritz's relationship because the pair still follow each other on Instagram, and they have played coy about the breakup rumors.

On Instagram, Riddle recently responded to a post with a caption that read, 'DUMPED: Sources say that Taylor Fritz has Called It Quitz with now ex girlfriend Morgan Riddles [sic].'

The influencer cheekily replied, '@taylor_fritz damn did you know about this??' with two crying laughing emojis.

While the source maintained to the Daily Mail that the couple have indeed split, they noted that the exes appear to be friendly as Riddle attended the Indian Wells Open in California in early March.

Riddle also supported Fritz's match at the 2026 Miami Open later that month, and previously attended the 2026 Australian Open in January.

Still, the source explained that Riddle's recent move to New York City had prompted their breakup, as she works toward furthering her career in fashion and social media.

'Moving sealed the deal and she's living her best life in New York right now. People started figuring it out when she quietly stopped speaking about tennis as much,' they added.

On April 4, tennis insider Craig Shapiro, the host of the Craig Shapiro Tennis Podcast, posted about their split on X, writing: 'Reliable sources telling me Fritz and Moorgs are no mas.'

The breakup rumors first began circulating on Reddit last month, when one eagle-eyed follower noticed that Riddle had removed some of her tennis-related content from her Instagram page, where she has nearly 500,000 followers.

The fan claimed that Riddle had deleted a tennis ball emoji from her Instagram bio, and that she hadn't been liking some of Fritz's posts on Instagram.

Instead, Riddle has been busy promoting the company she co-founded with Cherry Beagles, The 400 Club – which connects sports brands to female fans through campaigns, events, and collaborations with female athletes.

She's also been sharing glimpses of her life in the Big Apple, including attending her first New York Fashion Week in February.

Indeed, Riddle – known for her chic courtside ensembles – has been praised by outlets such as Harper's Bazaar and The Athletic for 'redefining tennis style' and popularizing 'tenniscore,' as she paves her own way as a rising fashion icon.

Surely, traveling the world with a famous tennis star is a far cry from Riddle's Midwestern roots, where ice hockey was the dominant sport in her hometown of Minneapolis.

In 2019, she graduated from Wagner College in New York with a bachelor's degree in English language and literature. Riddle then moved to Los Angeles and began working as a media director at Love Your Melon, a beanie brand that delivered hats to children with cancer.

Fritz, who was raised outside of San Diego, famously sent a message to Riddle on the celebrity dating app Raya in early 2020. The tennis player previously welcomed a son in 2017 with his ex-wife, Raquel Pedraza, when he was 19 years old. They divorced in 2019.

Riddle has professed that she didn't know who Fritz was at the time, or the fact that he was then ranked number 29 in the world for men's tennis. While in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, she suggested they watch the horror film Midsommar as their first date.

Amid breakup speculation, a source has told the Daily Mail that Riddle and Fritz 'broke up and she moved to New York City'

'Because it was during Covid, no restaurants were open, no bars were open so we ordered sushi,' she previously told People.

'We went to his place and I made him watch Midsommar with me, the really messed up horror movie. Why I chose that as my first introduction to a guy, I don't really know. I think I traumatized him a little bit.'

Things escalated quickly for the pair, who began dating in June that year. According to GQ, they moved in together just three-and-a-half weeks into their relationship.

As lockdown orders were slowly lifted, Fritz's tennis schedule resumed and Riddle traveled the world with her boyfriend while working a remote job. With a career background in social media and marketing, she decided to document her travels with Fritz and post them online.

Riddle's early videos quickly went viral, as she filmed herself getting dressed for tennis tournaments, sitting courtside at Wimbledon, and packing for month-long trips with her boyfriend.

In 2022, Riddle declared on TikTok that her viral videos were part of her 'personal mission to make tennis cool again.'

That same year, she quit her remote job in social media marketing and began making her own content full-time as she traveled the world with Fritz. While appearing on the Sports Gossip Show on April 2, Riddle suggested that she quit her job to be more 'flexible' for Fritz's schedule.

'The reason I had put in my resignation was when we were in Australia, I was taking calls at, like, three in the morning and Taylor was trying to sleep before a match and it was a lot,' she told co-hosts Madeline Hill and Charlotte Wilder.

'I was like, if we're going to make this work and I'm going to travel on tour like this, I need to be in something a little more flexible. I'm glad it ended up working out but that wasn't quite the intention.'

Although traveling the world with a tennis-playing boyfriend may seem like a dream come true, Riddle also shared on the podcast how traveling with Fritz for weeks at a time sometimes felt like a 'clown circus.'

'Once you're at the top, you're not seeing the players at breakfast every morning – which is nice because sometimes it can feel like a traveling clown circus, because you see the same people week after week after week,' Riddle said.

It is no secret that tennis has held a longstanding association with elite, upper-class circles. As such, many critics have argued that Riddle's rising social media fame may serve to distract Fritz from his tennis career.

That criticism only escalated further when tennis fans began to pay close attention to Riddle's interactions with fellow WAGs, or wives and girlfriends of professional athletes.

In fact, much of Riddle's increasing star power has been shadowed by an alleged feud with Paige Lorenze, the fiancée of tennis champion Tommy Paul, 28.

Lorenze, 28, has developed her own devoted fanbase on Instagram, where she has one million followers, and as the founder of the fashion brand Dairy Boy.

Much like Riddle, the Connecticut native has garnered equal praise for her courtside fashion and tennis-related social media content. She previously dated country singer Morgan Wallen and actor Armie Hammer.

Paige Lorenze, 28, has also risen to fame as a social media influencer and the founder of Dairy Boy. She is the fiancée of tennis pro Tommy Paul, 28 (pictured in March 2026)

Lorenze began dating Paul, who is currently ranked number 18 for men's singles, in September 2022. They announced their engagement on Instagram in July 2025.

Unsurprisingly, tennis fans have often pitted Riddle and Lorenze against each other as fellow WAGs in the tennis world. There has also been rampant online speculation of a feud between them, as users have dissected their social media activity for evidence of drama between the pair.

Both Lorenze and Riddle have not publicly addressed the alleged feud, but our source told the Daily Mail that the speculation may not be far off after all.

'Morgan and Paige don't get along,' the insider said, though they noted that Fritz and Paul 'are friendly' with each other.

'Tommy and Paige are great and going strong. They're getting married this summer. Paige backed away from making tennis her persona but she and Morgan can't stand each other. It's very well known in that community.'

According to one post on Reddit, Riddle and Lorenze previously followed each other on Instagram but unfollowed each other two years ago. Some tennis fans have also cited their differing political views as reason for a feud, as Riddle has often .

She endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election by posting a photo of herself wearing the viral camo Harris-Walz baseball cap.

Riddle has also shared her support for LGBTQ+ issues, telling Vogue that her sister is a member of the community, and her support for Medicaid, as her younger brother is on the autism spectrum.

Rumors of an alleged feud between the tennis WAGs have been brewing online, as fans previously noticed the pair unfollow each other on Instagram

Meanwhile, Lorenze posted a tribute to Charlie Kirk after he was fatally shot, police say, by Tyler James Robinson during a speaking event at Utah Valley University last September.

Riddle has also faced criticism from both tennis fans and fellow tennis WAGs who believe she is simply hitching her wagon onto Fritz's fame, from landing major brand deals and partnerships to appearing on magazine covers.

However, the influencer herself recently addressed such backlash that she is 'capitalizing' on Fritz's career to further her own ambitions.

'Historically, a lot of the older wives and partners on the [tennis] tour have been very private, heads down, in the box. They're there to cheer on their partner and they didn't have super public personas,' Riddle said on Tay Lautner's The Squeeze podcast last month.

She even revealed that 'a clique of older wives' had sent her videos to each other when she began posting content about Fritz's career, saying they 'made fun' of her social media.

'People expected me to sit in the box, be relatively private and not capitalize on my partner's career,' Riddle said. 'And I kind of came in guns blazing. I was like, 'Well, f*** that,' and posted whatever I wanted to.'

She also shared that Fritz hasn't been 'negatively affected' by the backlash, saying he 'has always encouraged' and 'supported' her.

'People write crazy things about us and our relationship,' Riddle added. '[But] we really love each other. We have a very healthy relationship [and] nothing that anyone says online is going to have any sort of effect on that.'

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Riddle, Fritz and Lorenze for comment.
