Many were in awe after learning that he was also in an acting class with the associate justice of the of the United States when they both attended Harvard together.
Damon and his Odyssey costar, - who stars as his wife in the film and has been for the role - were doing an interview with CBS Mornings on Friday when he was asked to reminisce on his college years.
Namely, the interviewer Adriana Diaz played a video of Jackson, 55, from February, in which the lawyer and jurist gushed about how she was once paired up with Damon in an acting class together.
Jackson, who has also performed on Broadway, said that Damon was 'already well-known' and now whenever she sees him on TV, she admits she says: 'I know that guy!'
'I can't believe she would say, "I know that guy," when it's like, she's a Supreme Court justice. It's amazing. It's amazing,' he said.

Damon also recalled after she was sworn into office in 2022, he went to his daughters with excitement about how they had taken a class together back in the day.
He shares four daughters with his wife Luciana. The longtime couple are parents to Isabella, 20, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15, as well as Luciana's daughter Alexia, 27, from a past relationship.

Damon grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and was in the class of 1992 at Harvard University.
He majored in English and studied at the prestigious university for three years before leaving for Hollywood.
At Harvard, Damon famously wrote an early draft of the screenplay for Good Will Hunting in a playwriting class.
In 1997, Damon and Affleck, his best friend, both starred in the film in addition to being the writers of the screenplay.
The longtime friends would later go on to win an Oscar for Best Screenplay the following year.
