'Maddy appears in The Idol, which takes place after the events of Euphoria. I don't know if this means anything, nobody watched The Idol;'

'The Idol must take place after Euphoria. Maddy was all partying with Jocelyn who Maddy uses as a connect since she big star;'

'Y’all keep saying "Maddy is gonna die"... but did we not forget she's literally in The Idol which takes place AFTER season three.'

Last week, Euphoria fans watched on as Jacob was killed off from the series as his character Nate was buried alive in a coffin - and bitten by a deadly rattlesnake.

The series began with Nate marrying Sydney Sweeney's Cassie Howard - in the midst of major debt to a violent loan shark and criminal financier.

The debt had raked up after Nate tried to revive his father's business following the series time jump, overextending himself with risky development deals, borrowing heavily from criminal Naz (Jack Topalian).

Struggling to repay the debt, he's at first beaten and threatened by Naz - and when Maddy steps in trying to help, securing a loan from yet another criminal, Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), she puts Nate in further trouble.

Not to be trusted, Alamo double-crossed Maddy and her former best friend and client through her adult content promotional business, by killing Naz and financially binding both women to him.

Jacob Elordi's Nate was buried alive and died in episode seven

Fans took to X with their theories about Maddy

He then buried Nate alive and, despite Cassie and Maddy finally reaching Nate and attempting to save him, it was revealed he had been bitten by a snake and died.

Following the shock scenes, actor Jacob poked fun at his sudden death on the show, as fans suggested he'd had a lucky escape from the HBO drama.

Stunned viewers took to X to fume at the series and the brutal exit of the iconic character, with one even quipping that rising star Jacob is 'finally free' from the show.

Despite his character's savage exit, the Australian native didn't seem too upset as he was snapped larking around in behind-the-scenes snaps shared to Euphoria's Instagram account.

In one image, Jacob was seen throwing up a rock finger sign as he lay in the wooden coffin where his character met his awful demise, while another saw him laying on the ground laughing up at the camera.

And while the star seemed in good spirits amid his exit, many have suggested that this could be due to him being secretly pleased to leave Euphoria behind amid fan grumblings about the direction of his character.

Taking to social media, viewers didn't hold back with their opinions, with one remarking: 'I watched Euphoria last night. I guess Jacob Elordi is finally free of that awful show. Guy has real talent. That show was a waste. On to better things. He was already doing incredible films before and during.'

Another added: 'Jacob Elordi really wanted f***ing out of Euphoria,' as a third penned: 'I know Jacob Elordi was happy asf when he saw his character was dying.'

'The fact remains is that Nate only dies so jacob elordi ensures he doesn’t have to return or come back for a future season. his character does nothing and has no plot so his death has no impact or meaning,' a fourth wrote.

'Knew Jacob Elordi was done with Euphoria I could sense it he didn’t wanna be Nate anymore,' said a fifth, while a sixth penned: 'I know Jacob Elordi is so glad to be done with this show.'

The Saltburn actor recently reflected on the fate of his character, joking that it was a great experience to see his choices catch up with him.

'Nate was someone who has made so many mistakes and so many dark choices,' Jacob said in a post-show recap .

He added: 'It's cool to see it all come to what it's come to.'

Jacob added he didn't feel claustrophobic filming the coffin sequence: 'It was really nice, actually - it was quite peaceful in there.'

He described the physical feeling of being in the coffin: 'My shoulders were touching the side, they couldn't move my arms, then they would drill the lid on it and it would get dark.'

Jacob recently called the excruciating execution of his  character Nate Jacobs - of being - 'a cool way to go' following Sunday's broadcast of the popular drama.

His character was killed off in a gruesome sequence amid a botched attempt to collect a debt he owed.

Jacobs had been in heavy debt to gangster Naz (Jack Topalian), who put him in the coffin with a breathing apparatus as a pipe.

The plan was to keep Nate in the coffin for a three-day period while his spouse Cassie () would try to raise the funds, but a rattlesnake made its way down the pipe and fatally bit him.

The actor, , said the show's creator Sam Levinson 'wanted to shoot it with a real snake,' which complicated the already-cramped conditions.

'Snakes were rattling, which was really alarming when you are locked in a box,' he said.

Stunt staff on set stressed safety during production, the actor said, focused on providing him with a constant flow of oxygen while he spent 'minimal time in the coffin.'

Jacob said the boa constrictor used in the sequence was more 'sluggish' than scary during filming.

'He was super cute; he was really cuddly,' he said of the snake. 'So he kind of just sidled up next to me and it was nice.

'But he was really sleepy. He was a sleepy snake. I had to kind of nudge him to get him to come up. And that was it.'

The Kissing Booth star called his exit from the series bittersweet after appearing on 23 episodes of the show's three seasons.

'This show is a massive part of - not just my career - but my life,' he said. 'It's been amazing and I'm so proud of being a part of this.'

Euphoria's series three finale airs on HBO Max on May 31.
