Levison Wood and Ana Protasio Split After Baby

He was once described as Britain's most eligible bachelor, and now Levison Wood is back on the market.

The star and world adventurer, 43, confirmed his romance with Ana Protasio, last June, yet she has now revealed they have gone their separate ways.

Taking to Instagram, the Brazilian ex-model turned yoga teacher, penned: 'I have come to announce that me and Levison have decided to move forward with our lives, apart. 

'Full of gratitude for everything we shared and for the life of our beautiful daughter.

'He's a great man and a great father, a part of my life that I will forever cherish. For every end a new beginning, happy to have lived so much and excited for what the future awaits...'

It was only in August that the couple welcomed their first child together, a daughter, called Maya.

Sharing the baby news at the time, Ana, wrote, 'Maya Katharine Lima Wood 07/08. For a few days I have been holding my world in my arms! What a magical moment, no word in any language or dialect would be able to describe what it is to be your Mother. I love you, daughter!'

It was only a few weeks before that, in which the former army officer, went public with their romance.

Levison told his followers at the time: 'Over the years l've met many people on the road, but every now and then, someone comes along who doesn't just travel with you, but changes the pace of the journey entirely. This is Ana.

'We've been exploring a shared path together lately, one filled with plenty of adventures, challenges and commitment. An exciting new chapter awaits.'

In 2020, a doctor was jailed for 13 months for a three-month stalking campaign against the TV explorer, that left him 'looking over his shoulder' and forced him to sell his home.

Fiza Jabeen, 36, from Harborne in Birmingham, began sending 'explicit and unpleasant' messages to the explorer on his Instagram and Twitter accounts in April.

She also began obsessively contacting the former paratrooper's friends, family and ex-partner on social media and by email despite being handed a restraining order.

Jabeen, previously a paediatrician at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, was eventually taken into custody after travelling to Mr Wood's home in Richmond.

Kingston Crown Court heard she had intercepted the celebrity as he was walking his dog in nearby Bushy Park and asked if she could come to his house for a cup of tea and to use the internet.

Mr Wood made a name for himself through his documentaries and books about his epic hitchhiking journeys spanning several continents.

Most recently he appeared in the Channel 4 series Walking With Elephants, which saw him follow on foot the largest annual migration of Botswana's elephants on their 650-mile journey.
