Jason Lewis, 54, melted hearts as the handsome and kind waiter-turned-actor Smith Jerrod on the show, and won plaudits for his chemistry with love interest Samantha Jones, played by Cattrall, 69.
However in 2018, after Cattrall had a public falling out with Carrie Bradshaw star , Lewis firmly took SJP's side, lauding her as a 'gracious lady' and taking a shot at Cattrall with, 'if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.'
But just weeks after claiming Smith 'was nothing without' Samantha, Lewis gushed about the show to Charlotte York star Davis, 61, who has cut ties with Cattrall, on her podcast, Are You A Charlotte?
Reflecting on being cast as the character, Lewis revealed he had watched every episode to truly understand Smith's arc across the show - before dishing on a painfully awkward nude scene.
In the sixth season episode, Samantha drags her friends to Brooklyn to watch Smith in his play, Full Moon, which sees him strip naked on stage before performing a monologue.

Davis said, 'We come to the theater and Jesus!' with Lewis responding, 'I mean trial by fire, a whole theater full of people and full-frontal!'

Davis added in the caption, 'Thank you Jason for coming on the podcast and giving us a fascinating update on your new creative project and reminiscing about some of the shenanigans Smith Jerrod got into. So great to see you.'

In 2017, Cattrall told Piers Morgan that Parker 'could have been nicer' to her during their time on the Sex and the City TV series and two subsequent movies.
'I don’t know what her issue is, I never have,' said the actress.
She took aim at Parker in February 2018, after the actress publicly commiserated over the death of Cattrall's brother.
'My Mom asked me today, "When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?"' Cattrall, who also starred in Big Trouble in Little China, wrote on Instagram at the time.
'Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your "nice girl" persona' she concluded in the savage takedown.
