isn't backing down after speaking out about the future of The Bear.

The 67-year-old Oscar winner claimed in an Instagram post from February 17 that the show was coming to an end after the upcoming fifth season.

And Curtis doubled down on Tuesday night at the with her costar when she was quizzed by Access Hollywood about the conclusion of the acclaimed FX on Hulu series, despite a lack of any official announcement on the show's potential ending.

'People think you were confirming the show is ending,' the reporter said.

'But everybody’s confirmed the show is ending. I don’t understand why that’s such a [big deal],' Curtis replied, seemingly exasperated. 'Unless I’m gonna get a call from all the people saying, "You just told [everyone]," I think everybody understood that it was the last season of the show.

She added, 'If it isn’t, then I’ve completely blown it.'

The Daily Mail has reached out to FX for comment.

The Bear stars Jeremy Allen White as Carmen 'Carmy' Berzatto, an haute cuisine chef who moves back to Chicago to take over his late brother's troubled Italian beef sandwich shop.

Carmy isn't satisfied with merely reviving the shop, and together with his brother's former right-hand man (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and his new sous-chef (Ayo Edebiri), he sets out to transform The Beef into The Bear, a fine-dining spot worth of a Michelin star.

'I don’t understand why that’s such a [big deal],' Curtis continued, seemingly exasperated. 'Unless I’m gonna get a call from all the people saying, "You just told [everyone]," I think everybody understood that it was the last season of the show'; pictured Tuesday in NYC

'FINISHED STRONG! Surrounded by an extraordinary crew and group of writers and producers and scene partners on the show that Chris Storer created, completing the story of this extraordinary family that we have all fallen in love with,' Curtis wrote on February 17; seen in LA on February 6

'Last season confirmed?' another person wondered, while one fan wrote, 'Love this show! Is this the last season???'

Season four of The Bear premiered in June 2025, and FX announced the following month that the show had been renewed for a fifth season.

However, the announcement didn't mention a possible end for the series, which is expected to premiere later this year on FX on Hulu.

It's unclear if Curtis's contention that 'everybody’s confirmed the show is ending' could refer to private conversations related to the show's future, as there don't appear to have been any announcements about its ending from other cast members or the show's creative team.

The show's creator and co-showrunner, Chris Storer, doesn't appear to have indicated that the show is coming to an end, and neither White nor Edebiri has said as much.

However, season four notably featured Carmy deciding to leave The Bear at the end of the season, which may signal that the show's days are numbered.
