The 62-year-old author says her show Hollywood and Divine could even feature men accused of serious crimes, including convicted rapists.

'There are times when the men aren’t allowed to defend themselves,' she told TMZ on Wednesday.

Her dream lineup includes Mel Gibson, Kanye West, Kevin Spacey, and Danny Masterson - the That ’70s Show actor who was convicted of raping two women and is now serving a 30-years-to-life prison sentence.

When asked if the podcast was for celebs who are actually innocent or for those seeking to express remorse, Dru didn’t hesitate: 'All of the above.'

'I have been through this personally with a member of my family,' she continued. 'Armie went through many trials and the interesting thing is, the girls who accused him of rape actually stayed in my home and I’ve been to dinner with them - they were madly in love with him, and he didn’t want to fight back.'

The Lone Ranger actor was famously accused in 2021 by several women of rape, physical abuse, and allegedly fantasizing about cannibalism.

He has consistently maintained that all sexual encounters were 'consensual.'

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office declined to press charges, citing 'insufficient evidence,' but the allegations still took a major toll on his Hollywood career.

Despite the controversy, Dru hinted that her son Armie will be her first guest on Hollywood and Divine.

Wrapping up, Dru highlighted Gibson as an example of personal growth, claiming he showed real remorse for his antisemitic scandal when they crossed paths.

Her podcast partner John Luciano told Page Six, 'Am I having on a Jeffrey Epstein-type? There are certain things that are unforgivable, but I think for the most part people deserve a chance to defend themselves or deserve a second chance.

'Hollywood is a little too quick to discard and a little too woke.'

Armie also tried his hand at podcasting with a show titled The Armie Hammertime, which ran from October 2024 to October 2025.

In the second episode, with Dru as a guest, he revealed they were once estranged over her devout religious beliefs.

'We actually had a period in our lives when we didn't talk at all because I said, "I don't need a pastor, I need a mom. And if you're unable to be a mom and only able to be a pastor, then I don't need that relationship in my life. I don't need another pastor",' he recalled.

'And we didn't talk for a while, because you were just like, "This is who I am." And that's fine. Everybody is allowed to react however they want when boundaries are presented,' he continued.

Hammer also told his mom that he has 'no problem' with her relationship with religion as he believes 'everyone is entitled to their own spirituality.'

'The place where you and I get into trouble is when it feels like to me that my spirituality does not look exactly like your spirituality, so you try to proselytize or convert or bring me half a dozen bibles or whatever so that you want my spirituality to look exactly like yours. And I think that's where we get into the weeds with it. At least, that's how it feels to me.'

Then, his mother began sharing stories about the origins of his gifted bibles and spoke about being 'radically healed' through religion.

Hammer interrupted her to get back to his point. 'I'm really trying to be respectful of your time and your talking but we have not gotten back to the point that I brought up, which is our personal relationship,' he told her.

In response, his mother told him: 'To be fair, what I was saying is I believe as a Christian, that is what we are called to do. So you come from that perspective, and all I was doing was explaining why I do what I do. Because you're called to be an actor. I'm called to be an evangelist.'

Recently, Armie returned to the big screen with Frontier Crucible, his first film in three years, and he’s set to appear in Citizen Vigilante, scheduled for release this summer.
