The Grammy-winning singer, 40, took to her Instagram Story to explain that she is 'unable to perform' as she has been 'fighting a respiratory infection.'
She said that her doctor 'strongly advised' her not to perform as her illness has 'gotten worse.'
She added that she was 'absolutely heartbroken' that she would not be able to take the stage until she recovered and apologized to her fans in her post.
At the time of publication, she did not yet share any information about rescheduling the show nor did she address refunds for concertgoers.
She is currently amid her Mayhem Ball Tour and was set to play her third show in Montreal after performing there on Thursday and Friday.

'Hi everyone. I'm so sorry to share that I'm unable to perform tonight and have to cancel the show,' her post began in her social media statement.
'I've been fighting a respiratory infection for the past few days and doing everything I can to rest and recover, but it's gotten worse.'
