has revealed the secrets to her impressive 16lbs , after stunning her followers with her transformation in a recent swimsuit snap.

The veteran presenter, 60, best known as the host of Live and Kicking, has shared that she slimmed down after qualifying as a nutritionist, and learning that eating habits she thought were healthy were in fact having a negative impact.

Emma shared that while studying nutrition she learned the benefits of giving up refined sugar, and now relies on fruit to add sweetness during cooking.

She added that along with ditching , she preps snacks to resist temptation while she's travelling, and has used weight lifting and restorative yoga to tone up her physique.

Emma said: 'I carry a protein bar, chopped vegetables, almond butter and electrolytes, which I mix with water once I'm through security. Day to day I always carry snacks. Preparation keeps you from poor choices.'

'I don't drink simply because I don't like alcohol. To me, it tastes like battery acid.'

She went on to tell Bella Magazine: 'Seven years ago, I started restorative yoga... more recently I added weight training. I was scared of lifting weights and worried about making my dodgy lower back worse. Now, I train twice a week and my body has transformed.'

Emma compared the challenges of giving up refined sugar to 'giving up smoking,' but said that her cravings began to fade six weeks after quitting.

She added: 'If I'm baking or cooking, I use fruit for sweetness. When I make banana bread, I rely on bananas, cinnamon and vanilla essence.

'Refined sugar is a thing of the past and I don't miss it. The more I see how sugar is hidden in food, the more horrified I am... My favourite snack is dates stuffed with almond butter, drizzled in dark chocolate and frozen. They're like snickers.'

Emma earned praised from her social media followers for showing off her transformed physique in an Instagram post back in January, as she shared with her followers she was now a qualified nutrionist.

She captioned her post: 'Heading into 2026 finally feeling my best. I can say it's been one hell of a journey to get here ..and wish I hadn't waited til my 60th year .. but better late than never?!! Its takes a village.. hard work… dedication..and a commitment to myself.

'I knew that there were no shortcuts for me I wanted to do it through nutrition and exercise but as a lifestyle change not a passing fad.

'I didnt want to post pictures with filters. I posted bits during the year of how I eat, cook and it's become my total utter passion - trained as a nutritionist not to practise but to fuel my knowledge. I feel better at 60 than I did at 40 or 50.

'The aim is to continue.. to set realistic but high goals to keep moving, gaining muscle strength, toning and keeping at a healthy weight.

'Keeping going on sleep and making sure it's a priority …the wind down process… knowing that its all the jigsaw pieces together that work.

'Zero judgement on how anyone else feels their best but if you are in it for the long run, not into the quick fix.. am here to give my own real tips!'

Emma had previously shared she overhauled her lifestyle after seeing what she felt were unflattering bikini pap shots - even though she still looked incredible.

She said: 'I had my children and never lost my baby weight. It's fine when kids are aged two or three, but there's a problem when they are 20.

'For me, I wanted to lose that weight. I didn't recognise myself. You don't look at that section of you.

She continued: 'Everyone made such a big deal about me turning 50 and were like are you gonna have a party? But I just wanted a change. You're very vulnerable at 50.'

Emma is mother to Lily, 30, and Sam, 27, from her 39-year marriage to wealthy financier Graham, and says it was their leaving home which also prompted her to take action.

She said: 'I had empty nest syndrome and I didn't want to be at home and eating. I just thought, have a lifestyle change.

'I didn't want surgery. I'd end up on Botched. I thought it's time to get on top of health. So I gave up sugar and I walked. I hiked up mountains.'
