Cameron Robbie: Missing from Margot Robbies Side?

Margot Robbie and her younger brother Cameron once appeared to be thick as thieves.

Cameron, 31, an aspiring actor and model, was never far from his megastar sister Margot, 35, during her visits Down Under to promote her blockbuster movies

However, it seems Cameron has since disappeared from Margot's side.

The last time they were pictured on the red carpet together was the Babylon premiere in January 2023.

Margot has since made several appearances in her home country to promote her movies - Barbie and Wuthering Heights - but Cameron has been nowhere to be seen.

Most recently, the actress, who shares a one-year-old son with husband Tom Ackerley, attended the Sydney premiere of her latest film, Wuthering Heights.

She walked the red carpet at the State Theatre alongside her co-star, fellow Australian actor Jacob Elordi, last Thursday.

Cameron did not attend the event or post about it on his Instagram account, despite previously showing online support for his sister.

His last Instagram post showed the budding actor hanging out with friends in Byron Bay in early January.

It's unclear if Margot and Cameron caught up during that time, as the only family member she was pictured with was her mother, Sarie Kessler.

Cameron was also a no-show during Margot's Barbie media blitz throughout 2023 and 2024.

At the time, she was awarded the Trailblazer gong at the AACTA Awards, but Cameron did not attend the event or make a congratulatory post about his sister.

It was an odd move considering he was a stalwart supporter of her during the EE British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) in February 2020.

The brother-sister duo appeared side by side at the event, with Cameron later showing an image of the pair in a tribute post to his famous sibling.

In the caption, he teased Margot for 'losing' in both her nominated categories, adding that he had 'never lost a BAFTA' - because he had never before been nominated.

Cameron also didn't appear to be in attendance during Margot's red carpet appearances Down Under for Barbie in 2023, just months after the Babylon premiere.

Despite walking by her side at the premiere of the comedy-drama film in January that year, he was nowhere to be seen when Margot returned home in June.

Margot attended two main red carpet events for Barbie that month - the Vogue Australia celebration of the premiere and an Aussie fan event.

The first was held at the Sydney Museum of Contemporary Art, where Margot dazzled onlookers in a pink Versace gown.

Meanwhile, the fan event took place at Pitt Street Mall, where Margot appeared alongside co-stars America Ferrera and Issa Rae, as well as director Greta Gerwig.

Cameron was notably absent from both events and failed to share any words of support online for the Barbie film.

The youngest Robbie sibling is known for living in the spotlight as he attempts to follow in his big sister's footsteps.

His most notable credits include an appearance on Neighbours, the 2016 short film People You May Know, and the 2023 flick Romance at the Vineyard.

Cameron has also done presenting work for MTV, and once surprised Margot mid-interview in March 2018 when she was promoting her film Peter Rabbit in Australia.

'Oh my God! What are you doing?! What are you doing?! What is going on right now?!' Margot exclaimed as her younger brother cut into the interview.

The pair went on to share some friendly banter as Cameron introduced himself to Margot's co-star Elizabeth Debicki.

He said he was 'excited', 'proud', and 'happy' for his older sister.

Nowadays, Cameron continues to regularly post online, though he has not mentioned his sister Margot since the 2023 Babylon premiere.

He was last spotted in Byron Bay, posting a reel about his visit on January 9, which showed him spending time with pals and cuddling up to a blonde beauty.

He appears to have put aside his acting career, with no recent credits attributed to his name, and seems to be putting his efforts into online influencing instead.

Cameron has attended numerous brand events in recent years, including Hermès, Camilla and Marc, Ralph Lauren, Marriott, and Calvin Klein, among others.

He boasts more than 51,600 followers online, with a slew of notable Australian celebrities and socialites included in his following list

It comes just a few years after speculation was rife about Margot's relationship with her reportedly estranged father, Doug.

The movie star rarely speaks of her dad, a sugarcane tycoon who now lives in Airlie Beach, previously commenting in a 2016 interview that she is 'not like him at all'.

Margot was raised alongside her siblings - Anya, Lachlan, and Cameron - by their physiotherapist mother, Sarie, after her parents' separation in the 1990s.

Though Doug’s brother Wayne insists the estrangement is not absolute, it's clear they lack the bond most fathers share with their daughters.

They apparently met up when Margot came to Sydney in 2023 for the premiere of her ill-fated movie Babylon.

In 2016, Doug was also spotted at a local café watching Margot attend the Oscars on TV; however, Margot has remained largely silent on their father-daughter relationship.

Meanwhile, the Barbie star has repeatedly praised her mother, remarking in multiple media appearances how she single-handedly raised four children.

She told GQ in 2014: 'My mum is just the sweetest person on Earth, and if I turned into her, I wouldn't be that upset at all; in fact, it would be an honour.'

The exact nature of Margot's relationship with Doug isn't clear, and it doesn't seem to be a subject on which Margot wishes to dwell.

However, Doug's brother Wayne, who operates a large real estate firm on the Gold Coast, denied claims that they had a no-contact estrangement.

'That has never been the case,' Wayne told The Daily Mail in January 2023.

'He certainly does have a relationship with her. He is very proud of her.'

While Margot and her siblings, Anya and Cameron, don't appear to be particularly close to their father, it seems her older brother Lachlan, known as 'Lockie', is.

Lockie, a stunt performer, has posted a handful of photos of 'this old boy' on social media over the years.

In 2015, he shared a Father's Day message that hinted Doug wasn't always a present father, but did offer financial support.

'Might not have the normal family but you did give an education and help when I needed it,' he wrote.
