The bombshell revelations come ahead of her upcoming memoir Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, in which she details her turbulent rise from troubled teen to one half of country music’s most unconventional love stories.

Long before she was known as Bunnie Xo, she was Alisa DeFord - a homeless 14-year-old in Las Vegas who later battled drug addiction, survived domestic abuse, and was arrested seven times between 1999 and 2006.

She eventually worked as an escort before turning her life around - and has now admitted she was still booking clients when she first began dating Jelly Roll.

'He would be on tour and I would book dates while he was on the road and he just always respected what I did as a hustler and I always respected what he did, and we both have never tried to change each other,' she told Extra on Monday.

She said their marriage is 'free, but not open,' adding, 'It's completely closed now, in case anybody wants to know.'

Bunnie opened up about the challenges she and Jelly Roll faced early in their relationship.

'When we first got together, coming from the background that I came from of watching preachers cheat on their wives, watching politicians cheat on their wives, I mean, watching my own father not be able to have a solid relationship.

'My husband was raised in a home where... we were not taught how to love properly,' she said.

She went on, 'We didn't know, so when we first came into the relationship, I think a way for us trying not to get hurt if the other one did something, because we were two wild hyenas.

'We just said, "Hey, look, if you're out on the road and you meet somebody, just tell me about it. I don't want to find out about it later."

'It wasn't like we were swingers… putting pineapples out on your doors. It was just more fluid, like… "We don't believe in monogamy right now so, you know, if there's something that you want, just be honest about it."'

'I will tell you that we will have a baby,' she todl the outlet. 'We're excited. We both have baby fever.'

The candid interview comes after Bunnie said the couple faced intimacy challenges before the music artist, 41, lost 300lbs

'We always had a sex life, but there were mountains and valleys that we had to go through, especially when he was so big,' she told Us Weekly.

Now, with his weight loss, she says 'his new zest for life' is 'so childlike and just giddy,' letting her see him 'be the man that I always saw that he was.'

'Even when he was 500 pounds, this dude was an agile, big guy. I’m like, "You are athletic under that meat suit,"' she added.

'Now that he has the weight off of him, he just gets to be who I always knew that he was, and I think it’s brought a new sense of happiness to him. Any time he’s happy, I’m happy,' Bunnie, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, shared.

Jelly Roll recently revealed that he reached 265lbs without using GLP-1 medication, a drug widely used for weight loss in Hollywood.

Back in December 2024, the singer set a new goal for himself: appearing on the cover of Men’s Health magazine.

'I wanna be on the cover of Men’s Health by March of 2026. That’s my new goal,' he told fans during an episode of his wife’s Dumb Blonde podcast.

' I wanna have one of the biggest transformations,' he added, noting he was 'so glad' to share the journey publicly.

He not only hit that milestone but also had his story captured in a short documentary, A Year for a Life, released in January.

'I was eating myself to absolute death,' he admitted, reflecting on his struggles with food addiction.

Since 2020, he has lost 275lbs, saying he now lives in 'a dramatically different world.'

A blood panel early in his journey revealed low testosterone, which had affected his sex life.

'You can’t get it up without T,' he confessed. 'I was married to a smoke show, and I was still struggling.'

He also revealed, 'I’ll be on testosterone replacement therapy probably for the rest of my life.'

The Thorns singer said married life is far more playful now that he’s healthier.

'Now it’s a totally different thing. I’m chasing her around the house, you know what I’m saying?' he said of Bunnie.

'I’m like a teenage kid again! I’m like the Pink Panther: I bust out of every corner. And she opens the cabinet and I go, "Hi!"'
