Elizabeth Hurley has opened up about her experience using the LYMA Laser PRO, revealing she has seen visible improvements to her skin after just three months of consistent use.
During an interview with renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Graeme Glass for LYMA's Science of Youth series, the actress, 60, shared how she has integrated the clever device, which retails for $5,995 (£4,436.44), into her daily routine.
The actress, who is always on the go, also touched on why she believes near-infrared laser technology delivers results where other at-home devices have failed.
Elizabeth trialled the product for three months, and aside from noticing 'real changes' in sun damage to her skin, she credited the LYMA Laser PRO's portability as the key to consistency.

She explained: 'I use it normally when I watch television or a movie in the evening, if this was something I had to put aside an hour a day, there's no chance in the world I'd do it.'
The model also revealed that she uses the device while reading, waiting for her household tasks to be complete, while being driven in a car, and during her flights.

Explaining a particular benefit about the device she loves, she said: 'Its biggest plus is its portability and the fact that you don't have to do it all at once. You can keep coming into little bits throughout the day.'

After maintaining a near-daily routine for three months - missing only one or two sessions per week - Elizabeth confirmed she has seen genuine improvements to her skin after consistent use of the LYMA Laser PRO.
She said: 'I have seen changes in some of the sun damage on my skin, I actually feel that they have faded, and I think they've faded on my hands too.'
The model previously jetted off to the Maldives for a sun-soaked 10-day getaway with her model son, Damien.
And despite being constantly outdoors in the strong sun, she shared that her progress remained intact, noting: 'Nothing came back worse. Nothing stopped healing.'
With many celebrities now reaping the benefits of popular LED-based devices at home, Dr. Graeme explained the fundamental difference between LYMA's near-infrared laser technology and other LED devices.

He explained: 'The big difference between LED therapy and laser therapy is that there are lots of features of the way that light is packaged in a laser that are contributing to the response that you see.'
He added: 'The big problem with LED is that the light interferes with itself destructively.'

Dr. Graeme also elaborated that LED light is scattered and reflects off the skin surface, with much of its energy lost as heat rather than penetrating to the deeper layers where regeneration occurs.
For Elizabeth, his explanation aligned with her personal experience, as she revealed: 'I bought one of those LED masks once. To be honest, I don't think it did anything.'

Noting that she won't waste her money on an LED mask again now that she has found LYMA Laser Pro, she added: 'I shan't be wasting my money on an LED mask again.'
Elsewhere in the interview, Elizabeth discussed several other practical advantages of the LYMA Laser, including how the device can be used over makeup without affecting results.
Meanwhile, she noted how it is safe to use on delicate eye tissue, and treatments can be broken into short sessions throughout the day rather than requiring extended continuous use.
She suggested: 'You could do your forehead in one taxi journey and then, whilst waiting for the potatoes to boil, you could do your cheeks.'
To see visible results, Dr. Graeme confirmed that the only requirement is three minutes of exposure per targeted area daily, which can be accumulated across multiple sessions.

The LYMA Laser Pro is powered by a 1450mW near-infrared continuous cold laser beam at 808nm and penetrates up to 10cm into the dermis, where it has a biological effect and lifts.

Several benefits of the clever device also include zero pain, zero damage, and zero downtime, meaning you won't have to dedicate all of your time to achieving a real skin transformation.
The LYMA Laser and LYMA Laser PRO are not LED devices - but how do they work?

The devices harness the power of revolutionary clinic-grade cold laser technology engineered to make skin look younger by triggering a genetic switch inside the cells.
Laser light is uniquely constructed - it is monochromatic (one colour / near-infrared), collimated (the waves are parallel to each other), temporally and spatially coherent (the waves are all in phase), and polarised (the orientation of every wave is the same).
It is these parameters that give laser light the power retain more energy as it penetrates the skin, making it completely different to LED.
