TikTok has become Nigel Farage’s secret weapon to be crowned king of the jungle this weekend.
Thousands of youngsters have flooded the site to declare him their ‘hero,’ while young women are swooning over him, describing him as ‘sexy.’
The former UKIP leader has Gen Zs – typically 11 to 26-year-olds – using the slogan ‘Nigel for the Win.’ A clip of Nigel, 59, taking off his shirt and subbed against Right Said Fred’s I’m Too Sexy reached millions of users.
One fan wrote: ‘This always makes me giggle,’ to which another replied, ‘I know, it’s iconic.’ Other comments branded him ‘legendary’ and ‘Our king’ while some fuelled speculation that the show is rigged against Farage to drum up further support.
‘Vote Nigel’ has become a common-place statement under TikTok videos of Mr Farage enjoying life on the show.

One person wrote: ‘Come on you guys, use all of your votes to keep Nigel in at least to the final three because there is no way ITV are allowing him to win.’
Nigel has pre-recorded videos for the platform in which Mr Farage asks viewers to vote for him and is releasing them systematically as the show nears its end on Sunday night.
In one video, Nigel said: ‘It’s me, Mr Brexit, saying vote remain. Please vote for me to remain in the Jungle.’
The clip attracted 30,700 likes and people commented, ‘You’ve got all five of my votes,’ or ‘Love you Nigel’.
Meanwhile, the show’s longtime hosts Ant and Dec are receiving less glowing comments on the platform from Farage fans who slam their ‘disgraceful and unfair’ jokes about the Brexit Party founder.
Ant and Dec have come under fire from Farage supporters on TikTok for their jokes about the former politician, one person wrote: ‘This pair have been disgraceful in their p*** taking of him.’
Generation Z is an unlikely audience for I’m a Celebrity, which typically attracts older viewers, but this year the show has 1.4million under 35s tuning in.

This is most likely down to ITV’s signing of the TikTok sensation Nella Rose, 26, who was the second contestant to be eliminated from the show.
But Nigel has unexpectedly gained a newfound popularity with this younger audience and their passionate support for the former MEP could see him win the show.
The former UKIP leader, who is getting paid a reported £1.5 million to appear, said he signed up to the show to reach a new and younger audience as he plans on re-entering politics.
