Cruz Beckham has given a behind the scenes glimpse at how he created the cover for his new double single.
The aspiring singer, 20, has recorded an album and announced on Tuesday his first singles would be Optics and Lick The Toad.
He has now shared a video of how the cover came about which also featured his girlfried Jackie Apostel, 30.Â
Cruz was filmed picking up slabs of concrete in a warehouse which were laid out on a white background in the studio where he did the photoshoot.Â
A transluscent sheet was placed on the slabs along with several bright orange bags to hold the sheet in place.Â
Jackie was seen lying on a couch as Cruz readied himself for the shoot.Â

The cover features Cruz in silhouette, backlit with a greenish light causing his outline to stand out sharply.
Sharing the cover on his Instagram, Cruz wrote: ‘OPTICS and LICK THE TOAD double single release out this Friday 24 October.’
Jackie recently recalled her first meeting with ‘unbelievable musician’ Cruz and described how their working relationship blossomed into a high profile romance.Â
The Brazilian songwriter’s relationship with David and Victoria Beckham’s youngest son has rapidly gained traction since their first appearance together in June 2024.Â
Jackie told how they fell for each other while working on his yet to be released music in the recording studio.Â
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, ostensibly to promote Cruz’s forthcoming double A-side debut single, the songwriter appeared to address him directly while reminiscing over their romance. Â
She wrote: ‘We first met when we were put in the studio by our managers to write some songs together. I was told you had been working on your own project for ages and shifting sounds a bit, finding yourself.

‘I went in with an open mind and no idea what to expect. I left that day knowing you were an unbelievable musician but most importantly that you loved it so much from the bottom of your heart and you would never stop, regardless of what anyone else thought.
‘During the time that work became friendship and friendship became us, you’ve gone out and found who you want to be right now and are finally ready to share it, and this is just a fun little warm up. I hope you guys are ready for what’s next.’Â
She added: ‘@cruzbeckham, I am so proud of you. I love seeing you do everything you said you would. I am your biggest fan forever. I love you.’
The young musician has prepared for the imminent release with a series of intimate performances, among them a show at east London’s legendary George Tavern.Â
Beckham took to a small wooden stage, alongside his band, to perform a handful of his own new songs, among them Optics, Caroline, For Your Love, and Lick The Toad.
He told the crowd: ‘This is really special for me. I just want to thank everyone for being here tonight.’

Cruz will release debut single Optics/Lick The Frog on October 24, putting an end to months of cryptic hints on social mediaÂ
One industry source, who was at the gig, said: ‘Cruz was a little nervous, but once he got going, the crowd went wild for him.
‘He’s clearly spent the summer listening to Oasis. He’s got a decent voice, can play the guitar, and his songs are certainly catchy.’
Likening his music to 2000s bands such as The Kooks and the Kaiser Chiefs, they added: ‘I would describe his style as catchy indie landfill.’
While none of his celebrity relatives caught Cruz’s debut performance, insiders have insisted that the young singer wants to work his way up through the industry without relying on his family connections.
But his girlfriend was spotted in the crowd and told her social media followers that she cried when her boyfriend began performing.Â
‘Safe to say I did not keep it together,’ she said.
Taking to Instagram after his show, the model wrote: ‘Unannounced, just working on his craft, doing his little thing, having fun, learning, preparing, all HIS songs made by HIM played by HIM sang by HIM, absolutely smashing it, I love you.’
