She said the cast came to the decision together in light of 'everything that was happening' - alluding to the legal troubles surrounding Paul.

'It was a decision that all of us girls came up with and agreed on. We didn't feel comfortable filming with everything that was happening,' she wrote.

People reported this past week that filming had been paused on season five of the show amid the legal turmoil.

'They are not filming,' a source told People. 'Taylor [Frankie Paul] has some pretty serious stuff happening regarding her past, and they will see what happens. Until that resolves, they are off.'

Production on the fifth season of the show had been paused

Paul and Dakota have a toddler together, son Ever. Paul also has a daughter, Indy, and a son, Ocean, with ex-husband Tate

The drama complicates Paul's upcoming season of The Bachelorette

'He knew there was a possibility it could come out, but he was not going to be the one to proactively do that because he has always wanted a decent relationship with Taylor,' the rep continued.

'It's been really hard to achieve that, but he wants to co-parent well.'

Mortensen's representative insisted he was hoping the situation would calm down on its own.

'He was just hoping that if he says nothing, as he usually does, it would go away. He's never done any kind of sit-down interview about his side,' the rep continued.

'He kind of just lets it all happen to him, and I think he realizes with the severity of everything now that he just can't do that.'

Paul previously faced allegations of domestic violence in another incident involving Mortensen back in 2023. She was arrested and ultimately pleaded guilty to aggravated assault

The recent incident is not Paul's first brush with the law.

In 2023, she was arrested for domestic violence after she allegedly threw chairs at Mortensen, accidentally hitting her five-year-old daughter, Indy, in the head.

Paul ultimately pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, a third-degree felony, and had the other four charges dismissed with prejudice as part of the deal.

She was required to undergo counseling, receive a substance abuse and domestic violence evaluation and not break any further laws.

It is unclear whether the new investigation will affect the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, which stars Paul. However, Variety reported that the show's release schedule and press tour will not be impacted.
