Zendaya gave a $100,00 donation to the California Shakespeare Theater located in the city of Oakland where she kicked off her acting career.
The Euphoria actress, 27 – who has been busy promoting the upcoming film Dune: Part Two – made the generous contribution to the theater company by partnering with the Women Donors Network (WDN), per People.
In a statement that was released on the theater’s official website, it was revealed she donated the funds to its North Star Fund – which goes towards future shows as well as other improvements.
‘We are deeply grateful to Zendaya and the WDN for their partnership, and their generous grant of $100,000 to the North Star Fund,’ Clive Worsley, the executive director of the theater – also known as Cal Shakes – said.
‘This gift helps keep Cal Shakes going strong as we prepare for our 50th Anniversary season,’ he concluded.

The President & CEO of the Women Donors Network, Leena Barakat, also expressed, ‘We are very pleased to be able to offer this general support grant in partnership with Zendaya.’
‘We hope that our funding supports your work and helps further your strategic vision, wherever funds are most needed.’
Back in 2014, the star opened up to Rolling Out as she reflected on first discovering her ‘passion’ for theater and acting.
‘My mom worked at the California Shakespeare Theater when I was very young,’ Zendaya explained to the outlet at the time.
‘I grew up around theater. I was that weird 8-year-old that was into Shakespeare and wanted to sit and watch rehearsals for hours.’
The beauty continued, ‘I was very intrigued by acting and everything that world had to offer. I think that’s when I first realized I had a passion for theater.’
Since her early theater days, the star has since gone on to make various achievements in the industry, such as starring on the Disney channel and winning a Golden Globe for Best Actress due to her role in HBO’s Euphoria.
Zendaya has been filtering through a busy schedule while currently promoting her latest film, Dune: Part Two, which hits theaters next month on March 1.

The star attended the film’s premiere in Seoul, South Korea on Thursday alongside her fellow cast members Timothee Chalamet, Austin Butler, Stellan Skarsgard and also director Denis Villeneuve.
She flaunted her figure in a fitted, gray skirt as well as a matching jacket that contained reflective, red-patterned details on the material.
The beauty slipped into a pair of sheer black tights as well as a pair of closed-toed, black heels to complete the look.
During the promotion of the sequel, Zendaya has made stops in other cities such as London – where she was also spotted with boyfriend and fellow actor Tom Holland.
The couple were seen sweetly holding hands as they exited an after party for Dune: Part Two together – putting an end to split speculation.
While recently talking to Buzzfeed, the actress also gushed over the Spider-Man star while revealing his ‘natural gift.’
At one point, she was asked which of her Dune: Part Two castmates has the most ‘rizz,’ to which she responded with, ‘Rizz is short for charisma, right? Everybody’s kind of got their own.’
The star then added, ‘I think someone who has beautiful charisma, not on the Dune cast, but I know personally, works for me, is Mr. Tom Holland.’

‘I’m more shy and kind of quiet, so it takes a little bit more to pull me out of my shell. But he’s great at just talking to people and getting to know people.’
The award-winning star continued, ‘You see him on talk shows and stuff like that. He’s just naturally very good at that. Whereas for me, I’ve definitely had to pull it out of me a little bit. He’s got that natural gift.’
Holland also supported his girlfriend earlier this week by sharing the trailer for her upcoming project titled, Challengers. ‘You aren’t ready for this one!’ he wrote.
The sports-comedy drama is slated to hit theaters later this year in April. The premise follows her character Tashi, ‘a former tennis prodigy turned coach’ who ‘is married to a champion on a losing streak.’

Alongside Zendaya, other stars that were cast in the project also include Josh O’Connor and also Mike Faist.
Last month in January, Tom notably shut down speculation that both he and the former Disney channel actress had separated.
Split rumors began to circulate when Zendaya unfollowed all accounts on Instagram and when the couple were last spotted together in October 2023.
While on an outing in Los Angeles, TMZ had asked the star if the two were ‘broken up’ and he responded with, ‘No, absolutely not.’

Zendaya and Tom first crossed paths when they were cast in the Marvel movie back in 2016 with their romance later being confirmed in 2021.
