There is another very strong hint that a Yellowstone cast member has not made it into the new spinoff show Marshals, which will debut on March 1.

On Tuesday evening Kelsey Asbille, 34, was not seen at the premiere for the new series.

The splashy event was held at Autry Museum of the American West.

Asbille starred on Yellowstone as Monica Dutton, the wife of Kayce Dutton who is played by Luke Grimes.

Grimes, however, was at the premiere as he is the main star of Marshals. Also present was 17-year-old Brecken Merrill, who portrayed Kayce and Monica's son Tate Dutton on Yellowstone.

The former child star looked much older than he did when he was on the hit series, which ended with its fifth season in December 2024.

The trailer for Marshals also signaled that Asbille is not on the show.

A sheet was seen being placed over a body in Kayce's bed in the January clip. Later, Kayce is seen lying there, with the spot next to him empty.

In a voiceover, Kayce is heard saying that the only thing that meant anything to him was taken away.

Some fans were furious at the move: 'They did Monica dirty! How can they kill her off like that?' said one fan on , while another chimed in, 'No love for poor Monica, sad.'

Also in the clip, some of his female Marshal coworkers seem to fancy Kayce, which hints at a new romance.

Asbille may show up in flashback shots, however. The network has yet to confirm anything.

The spinoff, which will debut on March 1, is centered around an elite team of US Marshals in .
