Telogen Effluvium, which is postpartum hair loss, is a normal, temporary condition caused by plummeting estrogen levels after childbirth, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
The High School Musical veteran took to her Insta Stories to show fans that she had a small clump of hair strands in her hand after using her brush.
The 37-year-old actress wrote over the photo, 'As so it begins,' meaning her hair has just started to fall out.
In another image she is seen with her dark hair worn down in soft curls as she had on light peach lipstick while in a black tank top and beige slacks as she flashed red nails.
'Having a great hair day even with my hair loss lol,' she wrote over the photo which was taken in a living room setting.

It usually begins around three months after delivery and typically resolves on its own by the baby's first birthday. While it cannot be prevented, it can be managed with gentle hair care and proper nutrition.

'Well…. I did it. Had another baby!!! What a wild ride labor is. Big shout out to all the moms. It’s truly incredible what our bodies can do,' wrote the actress in a sweet Instagram caption.

The couple, who wed in December 2023, have mostly kept their child out of the public eye.
However, Hudgens’ bundle of joy was featured in a campaign for her brand partnership with Cool Brands in May, a little over a year following the birth.

Hudgens spoke to E! News about how she manages her time with one baby in diapers and another one on the way at the Narwal Summer Soiree in West Hollywood in August.
'Balance? I don’t know her,' Hudgens said. 'Life is crazy and time is a really precious thing. I am a person of extremes - I'm all in doing one thing or another. So, I guess that's balance, if you call extremes balance.'
She added that being a mom has been enlightening and she’s learning to 'slow down and enjoy the moment.'
'It's so easy to focus on things in the future,' Hudgens revealed. 'Say, "I'll be happy when," or, "Things will be easier when." But that's not what's important. What's important is the moment that is in front of you.'
Still, the Spring Breakers star has to admit motherhood can be 'exhausting.'
'Being a mom is literally the most exhausting thing on the entire planet,' she shared, adding that she's 'so grateful' for Narwal, which makes robot deep-cleaning vacuums and mops.
'It allows me some time back to myself. So that when I put my little one down, I don't have to mop the floors. I can actually just enjoy my evening and throw on some Love Island.'
