Tracey, 45, said that seeing Tyson's quest for a 'submissive wife' play out on the screen had forced her to reflect on her own pairing.
'Years ago, I walked into Married At First Sight as a very different woman,' she captioned an image of Tyson on Instagram.
'I was submissive with low self-worth and was desperate for love to prove I was enough.'
She added that her MAFS relationship boasted a similar dynamic, adding that she didn't know what she was getting into at the time.

Taking to Instagram recently, Tracey said that seeing Tyson's (pictured) quest for a 'submissive wife' play out on the screen had forced her to reflect on her own reality TV pairing
'For those that remember, I was matched with a dominant man - the “villain” of our season and at the time, I didn’t understand the dynamic I was stepping into,' she said.
'Watching this new groom Tyson has brought up more memories than I expected, but now I get the pattern.'
Tracey continued: 'When a man says he wants a “submissive wife”, it’s not romance but a power dynamic and today’s version of me would walk away.'
She also urged women in similar relationships to speak up.

'So many women are taught that shrinking is love and that obedience is partnership,' she said.
'You are allowed to take up space, to have standards and want equality.'
Rounding out her post, which elicited a flurry of support from fans, Tracey said that recognising the dynamic between between Tyson and bride Stephanie Marshall can be a form of 'healing'.
'If you’re watching MAFS and feel a knot in your stomach because it looks familiar, trust that feeling because what we’re reacting to isn’t the show; it can be our own healing.'
