Timothée Chalamet was sure to turn heads as he rocked a very casual baby pink ensemble at the premiere of his film A Complete Unknown during the 75th Berlinale International Film Festival on Friday.

Shunning the smart attire usual expected for a red carpet event, The actor, 29, instead opted for comfort, sporting a hoodie, vest and joggers in the bubblegum hue.

And Timothee was certainly in high spirits as in addition to his style, he also showed off his moves while working the red carpet at the glitzy premiere.

The French-American hunk, who takes the lead in the Bob Dylan biopic, was certainly on fine form as he moved this way and that in front of the cameras.

He then stripped off his hoodie and paraded around the carpet in just his vest, with the star finishing off his ensemble with coordinating boots and a diamond chain.

It comes after Timothee’s performance as legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan in James Mangold’s biopic, A Complete Unknown, has been dubbed as ‘electrifying.’

The 28-year-old Oscar nominee, who did not have any face time with the Like A Rolling Stone hitmaker, 83, prior to playing him, has been praised by critics for saving the film, despite its flaws.

The movie focuses on Dylan’s early career, his transition from folk to rock, and his iconic performance at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.

The Daily Mail’s Brian Viner said: ‘Director and co-writer Mangold has crafted an absorbing film, which focuses on those few pivotal years between Dylan’s arrival in New York City in 1961 as an anonymous teenage troubadour from Minnesota.’

He later continues: ‘But A Complete Unknown is a triumph, all the same, entertainingly reminding us that, love him or hate him, Dylan remains one of the most influential musicians of the last 70 years. And that Chalamet, aged 28, is much more than a pretty face.

‘It has many similar strengths [as Walk the Line] but different weaknesses, though Timothée Chalamet’s electrifying – in every sense – lead performance is not among the latter,’ wrote David Rooney from The Hollywood Reporter.

In November, Timothee admitted he never met Dylan, while appearing on Apple Music 1’s The Zane Lowe Show.

The actor noted that he ‘would love to’ meet Bob Dylan but the Blowin’ In The Wind artist has kept a low-profile in recent years.

‘He’s sort of retreated from the public eye,’ Timothee said. ‘Never met him … I’ve seen him live.’

Timothee – who leads a cast also featuring Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, Monica Barbaro and Scoot McNairy – said that Bob had a measure of creative control throughout production of the Mangold-directed biographical drama.

‘He approved the script, he made modifications to the script, there are lines that are his in the script that I relished,’ Timothee said in the interview.

Timothee said he hoped Mangold would pass along a script Dylan made notes on as a holy grail cinematic memento.

‘There was one I was saying to Jim Mangold … “This is good, man – when did you come up with this?” He goes, “Bob put that in.” He has the Bob-annotated script. I want it.’
