became emotional as she gave a 21-minute speech during the 2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame Ceremony in on Thursday. 

The 36-year-old winner, who was , reached a major milestone as she became the youngest woman ever to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. 

Following a tribute from Sombr and being introduced by famed director , Swift took to the stage to reflect on her journey in the music industry.

At one point, the star was brought to tears as she got candid about the sacrifice her parents Andrea and Scott made so she could follow her dreams, per Variety.

'It was easy to choose songwriting over everything else in my life,' she told the crowd as well as her parents who were also in attendance. 

'But it couldn't have been easy for my parents and my brother to just pick up and move our entire family from to relocate to Nashville so that I could hone my craft in the songwriting capital of the world.'

Swift expressed that her mother and father 'uprooted their entire lives' when they realized her passion for songwriting and music was not just 'a temporary phase their teen daughter was going through.'

'And even though words are supposed to kind of be my thing, I will never be able to express my gratitude to you guys for doing that for me.'

Her debut studio album titled Taylor Swift was released in 2006 and she has since dropped an additional 11 albums; seen in 2015 in L.A. 

Along with her parents, Swift was also joined by Kelce as well as her future mother-in-law Donna Kelce at the induction ceremony

Swift and Kelce were also seen sitting next to Spielberg inside the venue once the event began 

Later in the night, Kelce (bottom left) was seen sitting next to Swift as she rose to her feet amid the festivities

Swift's mom Andrea then reached her hand over to greet Kelce just as the induction ceremony kicked off.

The singer was also seen draping her arms around Kelce in a loving embrace as the pair both stood next to each other during a performance in another reel shared to X

Swift joined other music artists who were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame this year including Kenny Loggins, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS, Walter Afanasieff, Alanis Morissette, Terry Britten and Graham Lyle as well as Christopher 'Tricky' Stewart.

Last year during an appearance on BBC Radio 1, the songstress admitted that she had been worried her songwriting would 'dry up' if she was ever in a 'happy' relationship.

'I used to have this dark fear that if I ever were truly happy and free, being myself and nurtured by a relationship, what happens if the writing just dries up?' she expressed.

'What if writing is directly tied to my torment and pain? And it turns out, that's not the case at all, and we just were catching lightning in a bottle with this record,' Swift added, referring to her The Life Of A Showgirl album.

'But it's nice because you're coming from a place of happiness and love, you can go back to those places. You can look forward to other things.'

Swift and Kelce have been romantically linked since 2023 and are reported to say 'I do' this summer.

The Daily Mail previously confirmed that Swift and Kelce are set to tie the knot in New York on July 3.

It was previously speculated that the couple would say 'I do' at her lavish Rhode Island estate.

A source also claimed to the Daily Mail last week that the couple could tie the knot at Madison Square Garden in NYC.

However, other insiders have alleged to the Daily Mail that the the MSG location is a 'distraction plot' and not the real venue for the anticipated nuptials.
