threw herself into character Lara Croft on Monday as she wielded two guns while shooting dramatic Tomb Raider action scenes in Surrey.

The actress, 29, who is the latest star to take on the iconic role, was seen swiftly moving through a woodland holding her two guns as the crew filmed close-ups and a wide shot.

Sophie looked incredible as she shot intense and physically demanding scenes in the woodland area before reaching a stone building tucked away between the trees.

The star was seen sheltering against the stone wall before throwing a weapon through a small window.

Sophie channelled Lara's look wearing a brown holster belt and styled her long tresses in a neat braid.

She rocked a pair of khaki cargo trousers with a brown jumper and a blue waistcoat layered over the top.

Days earlier,

The actress was seen making a swift escape on a motorbike, driven by her co-star Martin Bobb-Semple, 28.

The pair have thrown themselves into action as filming for the intense and physically demanding scenes began after dark in a wooded area.

Sophie looked worse for wear as she got into character, weilding a knife as she ran between the trees before being rescued by Martin.

The night shoot saw the quiet location transformed into a muddy battle ground which was lit by floodlights.

Martin will star as Zip, who is hired by Lara as her trusted tech support man and friend.

Sophie follows in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander in the iconic role and has been in training for stunts for over a year.

Speaking to ScreenRant, she said: 'I can't say much, but my preparation began in February [2025].

It hasn't been easy for the cast, with Sophie revealing she suffered a recurring back problem during the gruelling training process

Appearing on The Julia Cunningham Show, Sophie said: 'We've been doing eight hours a day, five days a week since February last year, of training. Yeah, so it's been a lot

'I've learned I have a perpetual back problem, but I also realised that it's much easier to kind of build muscle if you've ever worked out before in your life, which I never had, so it has taken me months and months and months to get into good shape', she said

Sophie is known for starring as Sansa Stark in Game Of Thrones, but insisted her years on the show didn't help prepare her for Tomb Raider because she was never involved in action scenes
